You have reached the max picture level in your camera internal memory. You will have to connect your camera to your computer, download the pictures and in your camera menu reformat the internal memory. Go buy a memory card. Memory cards of 1 to 2GB will hold hundreds of pictures.

How to put pictures from a computer onto poweshot a480 camera?

First of all, if you've edited the pictures in any way (opening a picture in a photo editing program and then saving it without making any changes counts as editing) then the camera most likely won't be able to display the images.

You can transfer files (not just pictures) to the memory card using a card reader. Plug the card into the reader and it will appear to your computer as another hard drive. Simply drag-n-drop files to it the same way you copy other files on your computer.

Iam unable to view the pictures I took with my former Easyshare. It says unreconized-file format. Is there a way I can view the pictures taken with my old camera?

Many cameras will not display pictures that were taken with a different type of camera. You should still be able to view those pictures on the original camera, a computer, or a digital photo frame.

If I may make a gentle suggestion, use your camera to take pictures. To display them, use something better suited for the task.

My cobra DCA1620 has a properly installed memory card and no pictures but says card full?

Hi,

You must be having an option in your Camera to Format the Card if you are sure there are no images in the card.

Also, check for the Picture type you have selected. Try to choose JPEG in Camera settings to avoid Big file size for the pictures you click.

Regards,
Suhail

I recently bought the vivitar 7024 and bought an sd card lexar multi use 4 gb. For some reason when I take photos and try to look at the pics it says no file exist. But when I take the sd card out and I...

Apparently, you have pics on the camera's internal memory. Your card won't work until those pics are gone. Here's how...with no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format" and follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Then, insert your card and it should work.

My camera says no file exists what does that mean

You'll hate me for saying this.

In camera-speak, a file is either a picture or a video.
If "my camera says no file exists" that's exactly what it means.
It means there are no pictures nor videos the camera can display/playback.

Is that a problem?
It is a problem if you took a bunch of pictures and videos, and when you try to see them you get that message.

Otherwise, it means the memory or memory card is empty. No problem.

I took 18 pictures and the display is saying FEE I cannot take anymore pictures what does this mean?

Need more information..
.. memory capacity, internal and/or expansion (cards), file size/resolution of the pictures....

I would suggest that the memory is full, and the solution is to transfer the 18 photos to your computer and clear out the memory, or add more memory.

If you have an expansion card installed, maybe you need to tell the camera where to store the photos.

Camara won t delete photos

Is your memory card locked? It won't let you delete pictures if it is. Check the little switch on the side of the memory card and move it in the opposite direction and then see what happens. Good Luck.

Memory Problem

These figures are for jpegs, right? Because of the nature of compression in jpegs, your camera can't know how many pictures it will be able to hold. If you fill the memory with photos of the inside of the lens cap in a dark room at night, you will be able to take far more shots than if you shoot at an outdoor market with lots of different shapes and colors. The specs, which are used to market the camera, will have a number on the high end. The camera, which has to allow for many different possible file sizes, will have a lower number. Try using the camera until it's full. You may end up with about 125 shots. On my Canon 10D, with an empty 1GB card, says I have 162 shots left. I consistently fit over 180 on it.
