My pc won't power on. It's an Asus Eee pc and it will no longer power on. I took the battery out and just left ithe computer plugged in. Then I hit the power button 3 times ( I read this solution on another site) but the computer still wouldn't power on.

Its probably a issue with the motherboard or the power connector, You need to get it checked by a technician

"plugged in, not charging" could a symptom of incompatibility between the charger and the battery.
If this is the case, once you unplug your ASUS ac adapter, the laptop goes off.
Anyway, it's still Ok to use the charger but you need to plug it in all the time.
Here is a little trick that I found that works.
1. Power up the Notebook with the battery installed,if you can.
2. Turn the computer completely off and remove the battery.
3. Power up the Notebook with AC power only (no battery installed).
4. Turn the computer completely off and re-install the battery.
5. Power up the Notebook.
6. The message no longer appears (at least for me it has disappeared).

My Asus Eee PC 1001PXD battery won't charge. The charges light is on but nothing happens and now the battery is completely dead and I cannot get my notebook on

Your problem is far more than the battery. Your problem is the power cord. Laptops for the most part will work off the power cord even if the battery is dead or even if the battery is not in the laptop. Your power cord charges your battery and if it is bad it will not charge it. You've been working off your battery even though you might have had the power cord plugged in, but if it's bad and not charging the battery, the battery drains and then you can't get the laptop to power on at all. Go purchase a ac adapter and power cord that is designed for your system. Don't buy one that some of the big box stores sell that has a an interchangeable plug at the end designed to fit just about any laptop. Those will eventually burn *********** board out.

My Asus Eee PC battery light flashes orange all the time. The battery does not charge. What does this mean.

Well it simply means that youre battery needs replacing. Youre netbook can detect it if it flashes on youre indicator and the power is actually going in youre battery but it simply won't charge because it has passed its usable life.

remove the battery and check if your laptop can boot or turn on for the matter, if so then the problem is the battery if not then the problem is either the laptop power protector is busted or perhaps the port or the adapter itself is bad.. to check the adapter use a tester to see if there is any power coming out if so then the problem is either the port or the motherboard itself.

My daughter has a new ASUS Eee PC 1005HAB, and after a couple months use it will no longer power on.

Hi,

Try this >>>>

Remove AC power and take out the battery.
Plug the AC power back in and see if it will switch on. If it does shut it back down again and re-insert the battery. Try turning the computer on.

If you get no life from the computer either with or without the battery then this computer has to be sent back to Asus for repair or replacement as there will be still warranty on the computer.

Regards.

Have power cord plugged into asus eee machine and wall outlet. light has been blinking all day. when asus eee gets unplugged it shuts off.

lets try this ---

* turn of your computer
* remove the plug from your computer.
* Remove the battery from your computer
* Let it sit for 3-5 minutes
* Replace the battery
* Plug your computer back in (Make sure the wall outlet is working as well, seems simple, but have seen it before)
* Let it sit for about 3-5 minutes
* Boot your computer
* go to
Start -> Control Panel -> Power Options -> Power Meter
Note the Total Battery Power Remaining

* Let your computer sit for 15-30 Minutes and see if the Total Battery Power Remaining has gone up.

If so problem solved

if not you may be time for a new battery.
