Fixya is not your cell phone carrier. This is a public forum where you can ask questions about technical issues for which you need help. What you are asking about is an issue with your service provider. You need to contact them about billing issues.

I need to lodg my tax return ,I have to lodge 3 years which I don't know how to do that

Go to a company specialising in tax returns. They will know how to avoid fines and penalties for late filing. If you owe money, they will charge you interest. If you mis-declare they fine you.

Please don't post phone numbers and live addresses to FIXYA dot com. We get 11 million views a year and some of those are likely to be a bit crazy!

Dividends, franked credits

Franked credits means the company has paid tax on the dividend declared, often 30% in the dollar, but can be other amounts, so if you are paying income tax of 30% in the dollar the dividends are tax free because the company has paid the tax.

If you paid by credit card, the amounts would be on your credit card statements. If you paid cash, the amount would be on the receipt you received at the time of purchase.

I order items for use with a non-profit organization and have a 501C-3 tax exempt number. How can I utilize non-profit eligibility and save on tax payment

You file a request with your state of registration/incorporation to get a sales tax exemption certificate. After you receive that, submit a photocopy to the vendors to have on their file. This allows them to not charge the sales tax. Some vendors will accept ust the certificate number and expiration date, others will require you to send them a photocopy. If you paid sales tax (after the certificate was issued) you can file a request for refund from the vendor by providing proof of excemption. Your state issued certificate is valid even if you are ordering from vendors outside your own state.

What is payroll tax?

Payroll tax is the money that goes to the state and or federal government directly from your salary. There are two basic kinds of payroll tax. The first is the kind that your employer pays on your behalf and the second is the money that you pay out of your salary. These amounts are always based on your salary and they are related to each other. For example if you make 10 dollars per hour and your coworker makes 20 dollars per hour, the amount of payroll tax they and your employer pays for your coworkers is twice that of yours.

How do i find out how much taxes were paid on a amount of 2553.12 and the tax rate was 8 percent

8% =8/100 =0.08

Your question is not clear so I have to consider the two possibilities.

A. First case
2553.12 is the taxless price (may not be your actual case)
Simple tax (to be) paid =2553.12*0.08=204.25

B Second case:
2553.12 is the total price (including the tax) and you want to find out the tax that was paid on it.

In this case 2553.12 is (1+0.08) the sale price
The tax-less price is given by
2553.12/(1.08) =2364.00
and the tax paid is 2553.12-2364.00=189.12

Examine the two cases and find the one that corresponds to your situation. Whichever it may be, your solution is here.

Posting progress payments

If you are paying your sales tax by invoice date - the payments will not affect your liablity. ie you owe the whole amount of sales tax as of the date of the invoice. If you are paying sales tax as of the time of payment. You will owe sales tax at the time you receive payment.
Since you are using progress invoicing, the sales tax would be come due at the time of the invoice. If you are just receiving payments, you would receive payments (as you would with any customer, and not invoice until time of completion. You would just need to make sure that your preference for sales tax due date is set to Invoice date, not time of payment.
