Hi I have a acoustic solutions model LCD 37761hdf it has a 17pw20.1 power board the tv will not switch on it stays in stand by mode with a blue flashing light some times the blue light will stay on b

10 seconds doesn't seem an excessive amount of time. Standby is supposed to be a power saving mode - the fewer parts of the circuit that are kept in complete readiness for switch on, the less power will be saved.

These days there is much prejudice against using the standby mode and it would be expected designers would respond to this by changing the internal arrangements so standby consumes less power so when the set is switched on it will take time for capacitors to charge and digital computers to fully boot and so forth.
Think of it not so much as a TV but as a computer. A 10 second reboot from the sleep mode wouldn't be so unusual...

If the TV works ok otherwise you probably have no worries...

Check and replace its main system memory IC.

Your power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors.These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable,and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Hi I know this was posted months ago but the answer may help others, I found the capacitor C852 1000Uf ,35v was bulging at the top which is on the power supply board the number C852 is for the acoustic solutions model lcd42762f1080p tv (but this info would apply to most acoustic tvs: WHEN TESTED THE CAPACITOR ON THE ESR METER READ OK, but cos it was bulging at the top I knew it was faulty, it seems that it was breaking down under load hope this help regards celestica

I think you are looking at a power board problem. I had the same thing happen to a Vizio and I replaced the power board and it solved the problem. It could also be the input board but most likely the power board.

hello, if all your connected components and power sources are ok
then you may want to take it back for an exchange if it is possible.
it seems to be defective from the start.
your tv is in shutdown mode, a fualty power supply or internal board circut is cuasing your tv not to work.the tv needs service for internal circut trouble.
try to exchange it or get your refund asap..

This is a power supply problem. Try to check the fuses ,fusable resistor ,capacitor and transistor in power supply board.
