Thanks Kamal but I have this manual. It is for basic operation and does not explain how to replace the hinge support.

    Any ideas?

  • gavin_roscoe Jul 03, 2009

There does not seem to be any unlocking system. I have taken nearly every screw I can get to out. It feels like the actual oven need to taken out of the frame to get to it which seems rediculous.

  • gavin_roscoe Jul 04, 2009

Thank you all for trying to help. I have been able to gain access to this hinge support by removing the side wall frame of the oven. I have replaced hinge support now and reassembled.

    Thanks

Insert the oven into the opening of the furniture, resting it on the base and pushing it as far as the ledge of the side stanchions against the shoulder of the piece of furniture. For the dimensions of the oven and of the space, see Technical Features. 1) Open the door and fix the oven with four wood screws to be screwed u p throu gh the holes i n the side stanchions of the oven. Then apply the hole closing taps. 2) The sides and the base surface where the oven is to be installed should be milled as shown i n to allow a safe air intake and a free air circulation around the oven, thus granting its good operation and avoiding damages to the furniture. Pay attention t o fix the ovens i n an absolutely firm way, as above indicated, and to insulate the electrical elements i n order to avoid an eventual contact with metallic parts. Moreover, the bonding agent joining the rolled sections to the piece o f furniture has to stand temperatures n o lower than 90°C to avoid deformations and coating disjunction. In case a plane with electrical plate i s inserted, the electrical connection o f the plane and that of the oven should be carried out.

I need to replace the hinge receptacles on a Jenn-air wall oven (WW30430PC). How do I access those parts?

The only way to replace the hinge receptacles is to pull the oven out of the opening. If you need parts you can get them on the link below. Also if you call the link below they will walk you through on how to replace.

How do I remove the oven door

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Most if not all Thermador owners manuals have this outlined in them, however, here you go.

Removing the Oven Door

  • Fully open the oven door.
  • Raise the U-clip over the hook on each of the hinges to the "locked" position (see illustration below). This will prevent the hinge from snapping closed when the door is removed.
  • Grasp the door by the sides toward the back. Raise the front of the door several inches (there will be some spring resistance to overcome because of the hinge being locked). When the front of the door is high enough, you will be able to lift the hinges to clear the indents.
  • Pull the hinges out of the slots in the oven front frame.

To Replace the Oven Door

  • Grasp the sides of the door at the center and insert the ends of the hinges into the slots in the oven front frame as far as they will go (see illustration below).
  • With the door open all the way, lower the two locking clips.
  • Raise the oven door and make sure that it fits evenly with the front sides.

DOOR HINGE WARNING:

**CAUTION** With the door off, never release the levers and try to close the hinges. Without the weight of the door, the powerful springs will snap the hinges closed with great force.

Let me know how you make out or if anything is unclear. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Good Luck,

Macmarkus :)

I have preloaded the replacement hinge, but it appears that to remove the old hinge it must be unloaded. If that is true, how do you load the new hinge while it is on the door?

Ovens come in many varieties including freestanding units and stacked models that are inserted into a wall. Kitchen oven units that get a lot of use or are getting old may have problems develop, such as a loose or squeaky door which may require replacing the hinges. You can replace the hinges on the door to your oven by first removing the door from the rest of the oven.
jQuery('.intro .thumbnail').each(function(i,e){ jQuery(e).find('img').one('error',function(){ jQuery(e).remove(); }); }); Difficulty: Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need:
  • Screwdriver
  1. Step 1 Open the oven door and examine the hinges to see how the they are secured to the door. Some oven doors slide into the hinge assembly or have a locking mechanism that secures the door to a latch on the main unit.
  2. Step 2 Remove the door from the oven by disengaging the locking mechanism and then pull the oven door out. You may need to release a catch on the door or remove a pin from a hole in the hinge.
  3. Step 3 Place the door on a flat surface such as a table or the floor.
  4. Step 4 Remove the screws that hold the sections of the door together to access the hinges.
  5. Step 5 Remove the hinges from the door. The hinges may be attached to the door with screws or they may be held in place when the door sections are tightened or secured.
  6. Step 6 Insert the new hinges into the door and secure them with the screwdriver or place the section of door back on. Tighten all of the screws securing the sections together.
  7. Step 7 Place the oven door back into place by sliding it on the same way that it came off.

Faceplate of door by lower L/H hinge cracked. How do I remove the door to replace the Faceplate?

Front doors are attached inside the microwave at the top and bottom of the oven cavity. Top case has to come off using, likely, security torx screw drivers.
Remove the top hinge.
Remove the bottom hinge.
Door falls off.
Replace the front panel of the door.
Reinsert the lower hinge with the door, close and latch the door.
Holding the door firmly to the microwave, tighten the door hinge. Replace the top hinge.
(On some units, both hinges need to be installed at the same time. Use masking tape to hold the lower hinge - makes it easier.)

Resealing Inner Oven Glass

I guess you worked this out already as posted a while ago....but for others like me I thought adding a solution might help..........Open the door fully and on the hinges there is a clasp, flick that back on itself on both hinges. Close the door carefully and it will stop half way....now lift the door off the hinges. Lay the front of the door on the floor and there are 4 screws on the bottom of the door...unscrew the middle 2 (the outter 2 attach the hinges). then lift off the back of the door....you now have the access you need!

Now i have done this I need to get the sealant....is there a shop you can get this from B
