T-Mobile Sidekick ID Unlock

I bought an unlock code off ebay, but all it does is allow you to make phone calls, the code you need to unlock the sim so you can text and get your contacts and such off it only tmobile has access too. And when calling them or the maker of the sidekick id they will all tell you they refuse to give out anything for the sidekicks, they being tmobiles bread and butter probably don't want other networks to be able to use them. So my question is, what not so legal ways are there for me to unlock my phone if tmobile and the phones manufacturer are totally unwilling to help? Can I like walk into a tmobile dealer and try and offer the dude like 20 bucks to give it to me or what?

Try holding down Menu-jump to get to the emergency screen. Then hold down on menu-shift-Q and release. It will ask if you want to reset phone. IT WILL RESET AND DELETE EVERYTHING!!!!. It will be like new. Except sim. This works with sidekick 2, not sure with others.

from what ive read, you can only unlock your sidekick to function on other gsm service providers only (like t-mobile). sprint/nextel, for example, is not a gsm service provider, which makes it near impossible to unlock for. however, networks like at&t/cingular are, and should be pretty easy to unlock for. if you do use a gsm network, shop around for an unlokc code which you can type into your actual sidekick. best of luck!

buy a unlocking code off ebay or something but only the phone option and texting will work, unless you have all ur numbers stored on ur sim card they will just get deleted. the sidekick works off of a diffrent network than most phones it doesnt actually store half the things on the phone but on the network. so you truly can unlock it and use it as a phone and a texting device but you wont be getting the full potential of the sidekick. personally i dont care id just use it as a phone but hey what do i know?

You need a unlock code, I have done hundreds of them successfully, goto SIDEKICK ID UNLOCK SOLUTION

(Please note that sidekick unlock will let you use SIM to make calls and text, this is permenant solution).

I have a Dwade sidekick 3 and i went to network search found cingular. That makes calls, so then next u go to SIM CENTER. go there and go to Sim Card lock. Enable ur sim card (1111). After doing that change ur sim pin. This works you can txt and make fone calls thats about it. Let me know if this worked out for you.

there are stores that will unlock phones for you its more by word of mouth that you will find these kind of stores

i have the same problem and i really have to use this phone

My phone crashed after taking the SIM card out and putting in back in while working with T-Mobile tech support. Now It will not turn on?? T-Mobile is unwilling to help and want me to upgrade to a new phone. Did they shut this down because of the problems they are having on the east coast???? Can they control the ability to turn on and off remotely??? It was working before they had me do this! HELP! And Thanks!

i went to the menu and searched for a network and found cingular..... but i can only call, how can i get txt messaging to work... it just says sim card is not ready yet. please wait... how can i get it to work?
