Is this a problem? - you're very vague.
Red is right channel out; white is left channel out.

A disc changer is a low-voltage signal; it cannot drive speakers directly.

Connect the changer to the Line or Aux inputs on the back of your receiver. The receiver amplifies the weak signal to where it can drive the speakers. This should be covered in the receiver and the changer's documentation, too.

I need to know which wires go into which transformer lead there is a red wire and grey connected together then orange and black together then yellow and black together then black comming from air...

first find out your voltage..240 or 208...then it is 2(two) wires high voltage and ground. Both high voltage should go to transformer one on common lead another to 240 or 208 lead( if you have up to 218 use 208 lead...), transformer ground it self so don't worry about ground. other side of trasformer got 2 wires it will be your 24 volts..normaly it is blue and red( ruud-rheam-goodman red and grey, carrier red and brown)...if you need to know how to "hook it up" low voltage let me

the headlight wires should go from rhe battery to the headlight switch the return headlight wire should be grounded. as for the ignition switch
get a multimeter set it to ohms touch one lead to a wire I'd choose a red one and the other lead to another wire probably the white coming from the switch turn on the switch and jf the meter shows continuity (electricity from the meter is going through the switch) that is the "on/run" position then use the meter to be sure the other wire is the starter wire the white wire is probably ground and the red with black is probably run and, the red is usually start
remember: the start wire must only close when the button is pushed (not stay on when the key is released)

meter wire lead from the meter to

You are correct, the unit powers entirely from the red and yellow leads. Your symptoms sound like a unit that isn't getting power on the red (switched) lead. The most likely cause is a blown fuse in your vehicle's fuse box.
