It should pick up where you left off, how long were you without batteries? There is a small watch battery that should have held the infor for 3 days....

You should not have to reprogram the remote. The programming is stored in Non-volatile ram.

Change the battery then shut the safe now putting the code it wont open

user code was deleted when the batteries went dead . a1 locksmith recommends replacing the batteries then use the master code in your owners manual to open the safe. Reprogram new user code instructions bottom of this page.

Battery went dead, replaced battery but it does not unlock the doors. does it need to be reprogrammed and how do you do it.

the system should have re-booted upon new battery being hooked up, check battery in key? Someone will need to know model and year to help you further...

Battery went dead,charged it back up now it won't stay running and a red light with a key comes on

if the battery goes stone dead on these vehicles, your anti theft module (SKIS module) loses its programming. unfortunately, the only way to fix this is to have the vehicle towed to the dealer an reprogrammed. call your local dealer and consult them on their particular procedures. good luck!

Take to dealer. Vehicle needs vag-com to be reprogrammed. Bring all keys with you to dealer.

I have 2 dead Remote Fobs on my V70.

U will not have to re-prgram them just becuase of a battery change as long as they worked fine before the batteries went dead.

After replacing a dead battery, the car cranks but wont start. It ran before the battery went dead.

some of these vehicle neds to be reprogrammed by the dealer once you change the battery cause the ecm tends not to have roms in them
