Instalation How can i install 3300w scanner in a computer with fedora 9? How can i get this software?

click start, control panel ,add or remove programs, remove scanner program. reinstall with cd . after installing search for any up dates and drivers and install , follow instructions in the install manual as to when the scanner is switched on.

try to install it in safe mode

My scaner need a software for instalation on the

try the cli install. At the boot prompt tap the tab key a few times. It should show u something like cli-install or cli. Type that, and hit enter.

As per the Umax website, this is only available via a purchased CD on their website. Here is the link

Try using Yum instead of the graphical add/remove thing. If yum can't automatically find the repository then edit this location :
/etc/yum.repos.d/

the command line option to install is :

#yum install your_desired_package

It's release notes say it works with your scanner without the need for any benQ or Acer software.

If you install the Fedora 9 preview it should resolve this issue.

A lot of older scanners are not compatible with XP. Some have become obsolete. Check your scanners installation guide.
