Switch the machine on and repeatedly press F2 until you get into the Bios

If F2 does not work on your machine switch on again and watch the messages it might say F12 as the boot option.

Password unloking

The simplest way to remove BIOS password is to simply remove the CMOS battery. A computer will remember its settings and keep the time even when it is turned off and unplugged because these parts are powered by small battery inside the computer called a CMOS battery. If we pull out this battery, the computer will forget alot of its hardware settings, including its BIOS password. This should not be performed on Laptops if you are not experienced working with laptop hardware.
If that doesn't work,you'll need a bios/cmos password recovery tool from http://www.biospasswordrecovery.com

Need hellp now. to unlock hard drive

When you boot up to the log in screen type in administrator as user to log in if you cant log in

during the boot up process you will see on the screen for a short amount of time press a certain key to enter set up press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS scroll down to set user password or supervisor password you can change or remove your password from there

also

The most common way that we know on how to reset or clear the BIOS password is to physically remove the power from the computer by disconnecting the power plug and then removing the Cmos battery for 30 minutes from the motherboard. Another way is to reset the clear CMOS jumper on the motherboard itself. Both of the 2 methods mentioned works because most motherboards use a battery to sustain the BIOS/CMOS settings for the motherboards PROM chip. So by cutting off cmos the battery power, the BIOS/CMOS settings will be erased. Hope this helps you

#5MFT3K1-595B. I FOROGOT THE PASSWORD AND CANT USE MY LAPTOP PLEAE HELP ME...

  • Hello cente_nkn, if by chance you didn't 'create a "Supervisor Password" to prevent anyone from changing the configurations in the BIOS / CMOS Setup? than we are 'OK!' Lets just say [No] for now.
  • Bootup / Start the computer, and follow these steps:
  • 1. When you hear the computer start-up, there will be a message that flashes very quickly at the bottom of the screen, it will read; Press F2 or F12 or on other "Computers, the 'Key Sequence may be [F11]..."
  • The area of your attention will be [F2] Key at the top of the keyboard. The F2 Key will open the CMOS / BIOS Setup. paul7of9_15.jpg
  • 2. Once this screen appear, you will see a 'Listing" of different set-ups. There will be instructions in the [right] Help ? area. You be using the "Arrow Keys" to (Select and Choose Items). In the first screen, there will be on the (right of the screen).
  • 3. Set Supervisor Password = This is the "Password Setting that will prevent anyone from getting into without authorization this area that you are in now, to "Change or Configure" CMOS or BIOS setting.
  • 4. Set User Password = This Password is use for "Logins / User Accounts...
  • You want to "Reset or Change the Supervisor Password.
  • Do so, and to finish; remember to use the [F10 Key] to 'Save the Changes.'

Thanks for using Fix' Ya, and I hope this fix it, paul7of9

My acer aspire 5542g keyboard is locked, how do i unlock it?

Try using Fn + F7. It turns the touchpad on and off.

Another solution is maybe CMOS or BIOS has locked the keyboard and touchpad and that maybe resetting the CMOS/BIOS by jumper or removing the battery will unlock them.

How can i change my bios device priority settings

Many Bioses have 'locked' sections because there is no supported hardware on the motherboard. One way to 'unlock' is to clear the CMOS memory, by removing the coin cell battery (if that type) and keep it off for about 5 minutes. If a soldered in battery, there usuall is a jumper to clear the CMOS. Once done, the BIOS is at default state, and the time, etc needs to be entered.

Latitude unlock setup password?

For that you need to reset factory defaults settings for bios.
For reset bios u have to open back side of your laptop then u find motherbord circuit there.
pull cmos cell on motherbord for 15 minute then it reset to defaults.
Also u can reset with jumper settigns read carefully on mother bord there is 1 jumper near cmos cell u read there " bios reset or clear"
It is on 1-2 position right now set it in 2-3 position then power up then all bios settings are reset.
then again set it in 1-2 its original position.
Then it not want password.
