REMOVE WRITE PROCTECTION OFF MY COMPOTER

That can't be done, the write protection is built into the design of the computer, unless there is software out there that I don't know about that would be the only possibility.

My device turns off and the power button flashes red

Your receiver is going into protection mode. This happens when it get's to hot or is drawing to much current for the amp in your receiver to handle. Make sure there is nothing restricting air circulation around the receiver as it is possibly overheating and causing the receiver to go into protection mode. Put a fan behind it and make your receiver is on a hard surface and up off the carpet to keep the bottom side cool as well. The key here is to keep it cool as you can. Don't stack anything on top of it. And every so often turn the bass down on the receiver for a little bit and give it a little rest. These thing combined should fix the problem.

My 48 inch plasma screen goes black whenever something im watching goes bright, like a white flash on a show will make the screen go black and audio still on. turn the t.v. off then on and it works again...

The internal fan can fail.

Before you invest money call on a TV repair man, place a small fan near the power supply. (within 3 inch from the power cord or the nearest vent from the power cord)

This will keep the power supply cool and keep the therm protection circuit from tripping,

When you has time, inspect the internal fan for movement.

My receiver is flashing "protect" how do I reset it

The protect message indicates that a problem was detected at the final stage of the amplifier and the unit has been shutdown to prevent further damage.

If the unit continues to flash protect even with the speaker wires disconnected, then the problem is internal to the unit and it will require repair not just a reset. The typical reason for this is shorted output transistors. Expect a repair cost of $25-$45 for parts if it continues with the protect message.

Please keep us posted.

Thanks,
Dan

Sony Receiver STR-DE310 flashing "PROTECT'

Replacing ouput transistors and probably a couple of resistors is best left up to a repair shop. The entire main board needs to be removed to access the solder side of the board, many screws and several connectors.

Kitchenaid KSSC42QMS01 refer is beeping. display is also flashing. cools normally.cannot enter diagnostic mode. Have not seen condenser fan spin, even while compressor is running. no voltage at fan

three things to check out.
1)the fan wiring's are they getting cut in between or burnt or short.
2)if the wires are proper ,then its faulty fan motor the Fan needs replacement.
3) if the compressor relay is faulty then also fan will not work.the relay is located beside the fan and compressor.

if not familiar with checking a local repair technician familiar with your brand /model is advisable.
to get required parts you can get it from

Power switch wont turn on,keeps clicking

The fault is not a relay, the clicking sound is just the protection circuit that prevents the TV from starting because a fault had been detected.

The TV is on protect mode.

Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so.

Also ensure that the fault is not coming from a faulty receiver box sending bad signal, check if you get same problem with no receiver box or dvd connected.

If that does not work, and you keep having a flashing led on front of the TV, and tv turning off by itself after a while, that indicates a fault condition.

The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the TV goes on protection there are only two possible reasons.

1The internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the protection circuit.

2 The protection circuit detected a wrong voltage or abroken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in , startingthe flashing light.

If you are in situation one, then theTV will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours, sometimes even minutes.

If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.

Common faults that can occur are a blown capacitor on power board, a convergence IC has blown, or a fault on Digital board.

Onkyo tx-sr602 as soon as i turn receiver on it flashes protect

Does it display any message like "Protect" or something similar? Do you hear a relay click on then off?

Did the amp just not power up one day or did it stop working while you were listening to it? Finally, do you have teenage kids who might have been listening to your receiver and would have "neglected" to tell you that after listening to their music it suddenly stopped working?

It could be an internal fuse but chances are its something that requires a technician to repair (like the output transistors).

Toshiba cooling system

If u have a laptop (that's what i found out that toshiba Qosmio is ) then is no problem that the fans stop (as long as the temp. is within the normal working margins ). U might have a setting problem - a bad software, managing the cooling system; - a bad BIOS setting regarding system temperature protection; - or the temperature detectors malfunctions, and must be changed (if possible)
