You cannot do any corrections. The video tracking signal is set. The best that you could do is use editing software to try and crop it.

How would i take away distortion lines that show up in my camera?

Do you mean distortion from shooting at wider angles? If you, you'll either need to do it when you import the video into your editing program or not use such a wide angle in your shots.

Black horizontal lines across picture in playback

The problem that you are experiencing with your camcorder is possibly dirty video heads. I would recommend trying a Sony brand head cleaner tape. Be very careful and follow the directions exactly. Head cleaner tapes can be semi abrasive to the video heads. Try the head cleaner tape once or twice at the most. If it does not fix the problem do not continue to use it, it could damage your video heads.

If this does not fix the problem we would be happy to assist you with a free estimate. Just send in the camcorder and a technician will contact you within 48 business hours with a complete diagnosis and estimate. Please feel free to call, email or post any questions you have and I would be happy to respond.

Sincerely,

Blue lines on tape of gl2

This is usually caused by an oxidized or defective Audio/Video drum. Try running a cleaning tape through the camera. If this does not solve the problem the camera will need to be serviced by a qualified service technician.

I just bought a canon Gl2 camera used on Ebay. I did the routine check, and everything seemed cool. I messed around with the zoom, and noticed that when I zoom in, at about 50 percent, it gets really...

This happens when the internal focus lens is off track, usually caused by impact and can usually be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it’s not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired by a qualified service technician.

GL2 Tape comes out pixalized

You may have a heavy clogging of the heads. The head cleaning tape will not serve in this situation but manual head cleaing from trained technician. Head cleaning service shoud go around $100. Same symptom would happen when the tracking goes off on GL2 and this may cost more to adjust. -James. For further assistance by email, go to www.camerarepairjapan.com

Audio is cutting out on playback

You did every thing right. Audio is effected by clogged video heads and the audio circuit. At this time, you might look at the service by professionals. 50% chance the audio problem could be resolved by cleaning video heads and tape path without much adjustment, you cost would be around $100-150. If this does not resolve the issuie, Camcorder need repair and would run $250-400 for GL2 model. Good luck. -James. For further assistance by email, go to www.camerarepairjapan.com
