Push the reset button underneath - this worked with mine when the same happened to me; I only realised it was there after changing the fuse, which didn't fix it. I turned it over and found the button and voila!
Try washing the white parts of the juicer with lemon juice. That worked very well for me. There is a faint tint that remains, but not the orange coating.
easiest way and tricky. Juice a couple of lemons or limes then or with alot of water. The acid in the lemon will kill any bacteria the water will rince it out.
rinse out the lid, food pusher and base(that the mesh filter sits in).
scrub out the mesh filter with a dish brush or the included brush if you have it. be carefull the grater-like parts at the base are very sharp. make sure it's clean by holding it up to the light. if there are any particles left clinging to the mesh it will seriously interfere with the effectiveness of your juicing.
you can line the pulp collecting jug with a plastic bag so that you dont have to clean that out as well.
it's best to clean everything immediately. if for some reason you can't, at least rinse the plastic parts and leave the mesh basket to soak until you can get back to it.
if you have any dried food or staining on any of the parts then a soak in water with lemon juice in it (maybe the juice of 3 or 4 lemons) should help soften up particles and strip away stains.
FIRST DUMP THE FILTERS, THEY DECREASE YIELD AND MAY CAUSE MORE VIBRATION. IF JUICER SHUTS DOWN PUSH RESET BUTTON ON BOTTOM. THIS TYPE OF JUICER DOES NOT EJECT PULP AND REQUIRES SOME TIME TO MASTER. FEED THE STUFF SLOW AND STEADY. WANT A GOOD JUICE? TRY 1 APPLE, 2 CARROTS, 2 CELERY AND A HALF LEMON. IF YOU ARE REALLY BRAVE YOU CAN FINISH OFF BY SLOWLY POURING 6 OR 8 OUNCERS OF WATER RIGHT DOWN THE CHUTE. THIS NOT ONLY DILUTES BUT LEECHES MORE JUICE OUT OF THE PULP. JUICE SHOULD BE DILUTED AND DRANK SLOWLY.
BOOK CALLED "JUICING FOR LIFE" AT AMAZON. TRY 2 CARROTS, 1 APPLE, 2 CELERY STALKS AND A HALF LEMON. ALSO IF JUICER BREAKS, GO FOR SOMETHING BETTER LIKE AN ACME. HAVE ONE SINCE 1990.
are you exceeding the capacity of the juicer? you will get about 2 and 1/2 large glasses of juice before the pulp fills the spinning basket. Apple peels are very tough, apples and tomatoes need to be peeled before juicing. Use the filters, the juice comes out much clearer and the juicer is easier to clean up. I so a lot of carrots, carrots are super food.
