auto focus is blacked out i can see it but can't select it, the camera wont auto focus tried doing the solutions recommended from people with similar problems did not help

You best solution is Nikon authorized repair station. You are asking for an easy solution for a costly complex camera will worth having repaired with Nikon who has the experience and computer test equipment to diagnose the problem.
