Question about Nikon Coolpix P1 Digital Camera
I bought my Nikon just about a year ago and I've had Lens Error problems with it before, but I had been able to fix them by turning my camera on and off for a while. This time, though, the lens isn't even opening, it's just making noises for a little bit, then it says Lens Error. I brought it to the beach the day before and it was working fine. I get that there is probably sand in it or I accidentally bumped it, but I can't afford to get it fixed because it will cost $130, and the camera was only $200. I was wondering if anyone knew how I could possibly fix this problem myself, or without using a ton of money.
No, even if you could find a lens for free this is not an easy camera to replace the lens on. Even a qualified tech would take up to an hour to replace. Understand that today's cameras low cost makes replacing the camera a better option than repairing a camera who's value used is less than the repair cost.
