Starter cord on Ryobi PLT3043A broke - is it simple to replace?

The starter cord on my Ryobi PLT3043A broke. I don't have the correct driver to undo the clutch housing. Is it a fairly cheap exercise to take to a repair shop, or much cheaper to D.I.Y?

How can I fix the starter cord on my ryobi back pack blower?

Rope has probably wedged somewhere. You will need to remove covers to get access to the rope pully and free it up. You may find that a new replacement rope is needed to correct the problem and prevent it's "catching" later. Now is a good time to replace with new.

Ryobi line trimmer plt3043a starts idles but dies when i attempt to increase speed

May I suggest checking along the fuel line and its attachments for a very minor air leak. The minute it sucks air it will stop. Check any rubber washers or O rings too.

I have a ryobi hedge trimmer RHT 2660 DA why wont the pull cord wont return ?

If you can try and tap by the starter housing with a small hammer and then you need to get some lubricant spray injected in to the spring. If it wont go back in there is a chance the spring has either broke or become unseated.

Pull throttle not working

remove the starter assembly and check to see if it is working properly. If it is then try turning the flywheel by hand and see what you get but my guess is you broke the starter pawls that engage the flywheel

Ryobi plt2543. was using it and was working fine then suddenly it stopped tried to started it again and couldnt because it had jammed and could not pull the cord out. what would be wrong?

first i would take sparkplug out and see if you can pull rope. if you can, it must have leaked fuel into the cyl. if you still cant pull rope, you need to take starter off and see if it is broke. if not broke motor must be locked up. i hope this helps.

Hold the shaft to prevent it from turning, then turn the trimmer head clockwise (viewed from the bottom) The cutter adapter has left hand threads. Hope this helps you out, as this is from the service manual. Best regards and good luck.

There should be a hole in the pulley that holds the starter rope in the starter/recoil unit. If you have taken the machine apart to that point, yes, there is only one way to reassemble it.
You will have to wind the starter recoil without the rope installed on itabout 5-6 complete revolutions to "pre-load" tension on the spring-steel starter spring, then lock the pulley in place, insert the pull rope and tie it off so it can come back out and then release the pulley, letting it draw in the new starter cord. Make sure you have the handle installed so it will stop when it gets to the body of the engine cover.

I need to replace the power cord for my Bissell Vacuum

Should be simple replacement. Once you have the correct replacement cord, just remove the cover, this only involves removing screws, trace the power cord to where is is connected. Once you have found it either write down where each color wire goes or undo one wire at a time and replace with new one. Should be simple fix...just take your time.

I have a Ryobi RLT30CESN. The started cord broke

Dont remove the center screw out of the spring pully or the spring will fly out. you put in the cord while the spring is assembled inside. Take the housing off but do not remove the pulley unless the spring is broken. The string can be put in using needle nose pliers from the inside of the housing once it has been removed. once installed you wind the cord around the pully and then turn pulley untill you get proper spring tension. Once tension is achieved you fish the cord back threw the eyelet coming out of the housing and tie the handle to the cord. It is a really simple and easy thing to do but hard to put into words.
