were water inlet hose connects to housing on washers left side, water is leaking seems to be a washer or valve that mounts on the inside of washer might be missing but have not found any such object inside the washer

Hi, There is some lime build up inside the inlet. Remove the hose and push a wire or a small screw driver into the hole and reem it out. That should yake care of the water leaking.
