Hi, There is some lime build up inside the inlet. Remove the hose and push a wire or a small screw driver into the hole and reem it out. That should yake care of the water leaking.
Please let me know if this helps you.

Cold water leaks into tub when machine is off

Try to identify roughly the area the leak is coming from. This will eleminate some of the following

Hose Connections
Check the rubber washers or replace if the hoses are leaking at the WATER INLET valve

Door Seal
This is a common place for leaks. Carefully check by partially pulling seal inside out and check for punctures, pens, pencils... Additionaly if the door is not closing properly it may need a door adjustment. This can easily be done by loosening the hinge bolts on the front panel, adjusting and retighten. The seal is also known to get lightly snagged by zippers or rub by heavy items when close are being removed. This tends to cause the seal to get damaged at the six o'clock position. This is sometimes hardly noticeable but if it is leaking from the bottom of the door replace door seal.

Water Inlet Valve
If the hose connections are good to the water inlet valve check that water is not leaking from the valve itself it is replace inlet water valve

Drain Pump
Check the drain pump housing and all hose connections. The drain pump is behind the lower panel, behind the back panel, and sometimes removal of the front panel. Hoses can be tightened. If hoses or pump housing is leaking replace pump .

Outer Drum
The outer drum is 2 halves bolted together some washers have a seal between others do not. If the washer is leaking between the seems disassembly of the washer will be necessary. The top panel, console, front panel, door seal, struts. 9696d86e-1b8b-4b2e-af2c-6f3a3ae921dc.jpg

Washer fiils with water between loads

The washer is filling with water while it is off because the water inlet valve is leaking. The valve is located on the rear left of your washer and the water hoses from your wall is connected to the valve. Unplug the washer. To get to the valve take the 3 screws off of the top back of the washer lid push the lid to the rear of the washer and it will be blue in color. Remove the inlet hoses and the hose/s inside the washer from the valve and remove the wires. Mark where the wires go on the valve for the replacement. Reassemble the washer and I suggest you also replace the washer hoses at the same time or if you have a nice set of stainless or nylon braided hosed at least replace the small rubber sealing washers in the ends of the hoses. Check for leaks and you are back in the laundry business. Part number is 8181694 and retails for $55.04.
Thank you

After cycle ends and spins and drains...the washer fills up with about 5 inches water over night. Why?

You either have a defective water inlet valve, or a defective pressure switch. An easy way to determine is to unplug the washer. If the washer stops filling, the pressure switch is faulty. If the washer continues to fill, you have an inlet valve problem.

To access both components, you simply remove the top panel of the washer. Locate the three screws that hold the panel in place in the rear of the washer. With the screws removed, the panel will slide back, then off. The water inlet valve will be located in the left rear of the washer, as viewed from the front (this is where the fill hoses connect to). The pressure switch will be located in the right rear of the washer, is round, usually brown in color and has several electrical connections.

The water inlet valve can become clogged with sediment causing the internal diaphragm of the valve to not seat properly. This can cause leak-by. If you live in an area that has hard water, or if you use well water this can be a common problem.

If you have to replace the valve, all you have to do is turn off the water supply and disconnect the fill hoses. Remove any dispenser hoses and the mounting screw(s) and the valve comes out. You can attempt to clean the valve by submerging it in a 50/50 solution of distilled vinegar and water to see if you can dissolve any sediment. Do not submerse the electrical connections, though. Allow to soak for 30 minutes, then rinse with hot water. This may or may not solve your problem. If you are going to go the route of removng the valve, it may be wise to simply replace it, rather that possibly repeating these steps twice. Just a thought...

The pressure switch comes out even easier. A couple of electrical connections and mounting screw(s) are the only thing that hold it in place.

Replacement parts can be purchased at searspartsdirect.com, appliancepartspros.com, pcappliancerepair.com, or repairclinic.com.

If you have any quesitons, please let me know. I hope you find this information helpful

PS An easy way to remove excess water from the tub (so, you don't flood your floor) is to remove the drain hose from the stand pipe at the wall. Then, using a wet/dry shop vac, pull a vacuum on the drain line. This will drain anything in the wash tub.

I have the valve for the water now how do i change it

If you are talking about replacing the water inlet valve, follow these steps:

1. UNPLUG washer and turn off water supply.
2. Disconnect water inlet hoses from the back of the washer.
3. Remove the washer top panel by removing the three screws in the back of the washer. With the screws removed, the panel will slide back, then lift off.
4. The inlet valve will be located in the left-rear of the washer (as viewed from the front). Remove the dispenser hose and electrical connections from the water inlet valve, followed by the mounting screw(s). The valve should easily come out of the washer. NOTE: Accessing the valve from the rear or left side of the washer access easier.
5. Install new valve in the reverse order of the steps I provided. Make sure you get the dispenser hose connected correctly so it does not leak AND make sure the electrical connections are not crossed (they should be marked HOT or COLD - if not, label them BEFORE removing.)
6. Connect water supply lines making sure they are not crossed. If you have the original manufacturer's hoses, they will be marked RED for hot and BLUE for COLD. It's also printed on the back of the washer.

Read through the instructions and let me know if you have any questions. I hope this answers your question.

Ge nautilus leak left side

If your dishwasher leaks, check these: Main tub seal Note… If the main motor of your dishwasher is mounted vertically, beneath the center bottom of the dishwasher, the following instructions probably apply to you. But if your motor is mounted horizontally, the pump isn't serviceable--you need to replace the entire pump and motor assembly.

The main tub seal is beneath the drain impeller. It prevents the water in the dishwasher from leaking out near the shaft of the motor. To get to the seal, which is inside the dishwasher, remove the:

  • Lower rack

  • Spray arm

  • Spray arm support

  • Wash/drain impellers

Then pry the seal out of its housing and replace it.

Door gasket or seal Over time, door gaskets and seals harden and lose their ability to seal properly. You can't repair the seals. You need to replace them if they've begun to leak.

Water-inlet valve The water-inlet valve, itself, seldom leaks. But, the water-supply line from the house and the rubber tube leading from the valve to the inside of the dishwasher may leak. Tighten or repair/replace these as necessary.

The water-inlet valve could mechanically stick open. When that happens, the water continues to flow into the dishwasher, which then floods your kitchen. Turn off the water supply to the dishwasher, and replace the valve.

Hoses Behind the lower access panel on your dishwasher are several rubber or plastic hoses. If the leak appears at a connection, try a new clamp. If that doesn't work, replace the hose.

Water Leak inside drum

That's because the water fills from around the door bellow via the dispenser. Any small water leakage will probably go unoticed because it drains into the seam in the rubber boot into the wash tub UNDER the wash basket. As it accumulates, it will eventually fill to a point where it is visible in the wash basket. It sounds like you have a water inlet valve that is failing. That's the only way water gets into the washer. It passes from the the water taps, through the inlet valve, through the flowmeter and into the dispenser. If the inlet valve is leaking, you probably have a diaphragm in the valve not closing properly, or a bad solenoid. I would recomend replacing it. To access, you will need to remove the top panel of the washer by removing the three screws in the back of the washer that hold the top panel in place. With the screws removed, the panel slides back, then off. The water inlet valve is located on the left-hand side in the rear of the washer (facing from the front) where the fill hoses connect. You will need to shut off the water supply, disconnect main power, remove the electrical connections to the solenoids, remove the any hoses and finally the mounting screw to remove. If you post back with your complete model number (located aorund the door opening), I can provide you with a part number. If you have further questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.
