If it is coming out yellow it is because you are not using a flash. Cameras see color at a kelvin temperature. Daylight is a about 5500 degrees kelvin. Indoors your camera sees about 2500 to 3500 degrees kelvin hence the yellow color. You can go into your camera menu and change how your white balance is set. The camera menu also allows you to set the EV for over and under exposure.

Fuji close up shot is yellow ..clear but a yellow shadow

Might be not enough lighting or the settings are wrong for the lighting in the camera. It can be changed for daylight bulbs, florescent etc. Check the manual.

When shooting indoors and room lights are on pictures come out with yellow cast what seems to be the problem

Indoor lights are yellow...we just don't notice it. Usually modern cameras can correct for that using "auto white balance". If they don't, then you have to change the white balance manually to match the type of light source. Check your manual.

I have the fuji s1000fd and i need to take some indoor basketball photos today what should i set the camera on ? Most of my pix are very yellow.

You need to set the white balance for the kind of light in the gym. Take a few test shots while changing the white balance each time until you're happy with the color. For indoor shots, set your ISO to at least 800 and turn off the flash unless you're 10-12 feet from the action. If the camera has some sort of shake reduction, turn it on.

Night shoot and Indoor photo quality is not good with Fuji S5700

Your Sony camera must be more noise-free at high Iso settings than the S5700. As you view your shots on the camera, press the button with the square and the +/- symbol in it. Now you can see what Iso setting the pic was taken at. The 400, 800 and 1600 settings are all noisy on this camera. The only solution is to use a tripod with long shutter time and Iso 200 or less.

Yellowish tint on faces, shadows, gold backgrounds

Check the white balance setting of the camera. As you have a yellow cast, it could be because you are using it in Fluorescent (or Tubelight) setting. Changing this to Auto should solve this problem.

Lousy, yellow indoor pictures

Have you tried setting the white balance to match your indoor lighting condtions (flourescent or incandescent indoor lighting)? If not, try it. You didn't mention what model camera you have, but look in your manual. It should mention how to adjust white balance.
