SOUND (by 3 users)

My sound card does show up in the device manager and is indicated as working properly. I have tried to roll-back also, but am not sure when the sound stopped. I tend to keep the sound on mute for mahjongg or use the laptop for MS office tasks, which have no sound needed. So, when we tried to play games for our 4 year old, there was no sound and all the "mute" buttons were unchecked. I am baffled! Thanks!
