Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
I thought it was the TV going crazy but seems its the ps3, it goes like crazy on the colors goes from a normal screen to a very red one then goes all the way to a greenish one then after a whule it starts to fade to black like if it wasnt sending any signal as the tv displays the message "serching for component signal", soud is out too...then after a few seconds the imagen and sound comes back, i'm getting worried not sure if it is overheating or its related to the cables which i dont think as the sound is also affected...any idea?

if it's happening with your ps2 and your ps3 on teh same tv, try it on a different tv. if you're getting sound but no picture, tehn it's something with your cables or your tv. restting the display setting should get your picture back up. make sure the system is in standby and then hold down teh power button. it will turn green and beep, then flash green and beep again. it should brng up a picture. if not, check your component cables, especailly if it works with the original cables.

SOURCE: ps3 is messing with my tv signal
it's usually a grounding issue with yoru cable connection. disconnect your coaxial cable from your tv and you'll lose your humming and lines.

Hook it up with the component cable and then hold the power button on the console until something comes up on screen. Make sure you have selected the component input on your tv or else you wont get anything anyway.
What holding the power button does is it resets the video settings to the lowest common denominator and then you can reconfigure it for the optimal picture quality of the component cables.
If that doesn't work double check the component connections on the back of the TV and just make sure they are where they should be and that no accidents were made while hooking it up.
Please post the results from these steps here so that I know what happened.
