On each end cap in the back there will be a bolt that will be 7/16 socket or a 5mm metric allen wrench.

How to remove drawers from a performax tool chest. I don't have the model number.

if you look at the sides of the tray your sliding out, you'll notice that the trays are attached to two slides on either side, now look closely at the slides themselves and you will notice "clips" or "tabs". these tabs must be pressed while you extend the tray past these "catches" and keep pulling the tray straight out. installation is reverse.

How do i turn off auto focus?

To strictly turn off the auto-focus, you have 2 options:
1. Some generations of 5600's have an Autofocus On/Off Switch. If so equipped, move the switch to "Off".
2. Remove the bottom cover. Locate the auto-focus motor and clip on of the wires that power the motor.
If repair is what you want to do, the problem becomes more complex and expensive! You will have to contact: www.micro-tools.com
You can order the 2 special tools, instructions and any other parts you need from them. When Kodak stopped supporting the slide projector business, micro tools bought out the remaining repair parts.

Why does autofocus keeps moving in and out on some slides

The autofocus system isn't really "autofocus". It is a measuring system - you manually focus the first slide, which sets the distance from the front of the slide in the gate to the back of the projection lens. By the focus motor moving the projection lens, subsequent slides will maintain that same distance. Continuous focus adjustment suggests that:
1> The curvature of the slide is changing because of the varying heat absorption rate of the transparency.
2> The autofocus system is out of calibration.
3> The autofocus system has a bind (it is being restricted from free operation).
About the only thing a user can do is to make sure ALL slides are oriented the same way in the tray. Beyond that, you will need a service manual and 2 or 3 specialized tools. Parts and tools can be purchased from: www.micro-tools.com

Good Luck !! jim

Kodak carousel 760h projector

The auto-focus system in Kodak slide projectors is really an auto-measurement system: One set manually, the system is supposed to maintain that distance on all subsequent slides. Correct orientation of the slides is that they are all placed in the slide tray in the SAME direction (the matte side of the transparency facing toward the screen). The measurement is from the FRONT of the slide transparency to the BACK of the projection lens. REPAIR calibration of the system requires 2 special tools: a RANGE SLIDE and a TARGET SLIDE. These tool slides and the calibration procedure SHOULD be available from: www.micro-tools.com They purchased all remaining repair parts from Kodak when Kodak stopped supporting slide projectors. Good Luck !! Jim

Tapered front disc brake pad wear

the brake calliper body that the pads are contained in slides on 2 pins to allow the equalization of pressure to either side of the disc
these pins rust up and prevent the equalization process
on most vehicles it results on the non moving pad wearing faster than the piston pad as the piston pad pulls the calliper body across but it is not free to move back
I suspect that in your case one pin is sticking and allowing the calliper body to twist slightly resulting in that wear pattern
as to the discoloration of the disc, that indicates a pad in constant contact with the disc and over heating the disc
when fitting new pads it is a requirement to do both wheels and to machine the discs to ensure true running of the disc
check that the callipers move freely on the mounting pins before reassembly

@aol.com2001 ls lincoln cant compress piston to allow for new pads

On the front you go buy a large C-Clamp
& use one old pad against the caliper piston

On the rear you need a tool to turn the parking
brake in while pushing the piston in

On the back you need to open the bleeder valve
to make it easier

You should be flushing your brake fluid on ALL
your vehicles every 2 years

You don't put on new pads without machining or
replacing the rotors & you have to remove ALL
rust from caliper & pad abutments & sliding surfaces
and put anti-seize on contact & sliding points

I checked my clamp --it is a craftsman 4" from
Sears Hardware

On the back you get the small cube from the auto parts
store & choose the side with the two smallest pins
& file flats on the outside of them to fit the caliper
piston. Don't think they make an exact tool for the LS

Ratchet up parking brake in back when done & push pedal
a couple times after beelding with engine running & a helper
to seat pads

On the back the piston notch goes up or the pads won't
go down

Setting up a jig saw to cut a straight 1/4 inch

Hi there,

You will need two C clamps and a straight edge,I use a metal yard stick.Whatever you use look down the edge a make sure it's true.

Set up on the line and make sure the blade is going to cut on the waste side of the line.Measure the distance from the edge of the wood to the other side of the jigsaw glide plate and make a mark.Transfer the measurement to the other end.I move the blade up just above the surface so I can set the jig saw on the wood while I get the measurements. The last step is to clamp the straight edge down.Make sure to have the clamps with the handles down.Check under to make sure you won't run into any thing and do a dry run to check for cord hang ups. This is the best way as long as you keep the edge of the bottom jig saw plate against the straight edge.^^^^ Well that's how I do it. good luck

You can all so use the T bar attachment that slides through the bottom plate and clamps down with thumb screws.Personally I like the straight edge.
