Purchased a Gear Head webcam WC745blu 1.3mp, it came with a mini disk to install software. I have a standard cd-rom for standard size disks so I cannot install drivers with this disk. The website does not...

Well the disk actually works on most standard CD-ROMS. paper_bag.jpg If its cd-rom that is used in laptops (extremely thin) it should also work but you can always find a computer with one of these trays and then copy the contents.

Integrated web cam will not function. says driver is not detected. how do i turn it on

Go to devices select the driver that is your web cam driver if it is highlighted with a yellow icon then right click it and go to update driver. I would update it anyway. Make sure that you are online and make sure that you select go to the Internet always option. If you have the disk the original disk that came with your computer and it says drivers put this in and point it to the disk drive where you DVD or CD driver disk is located. This will install the driver again if you cannot get this to work. Go and select devices and where the web cam is delete it in devices and then try to upgrade again. This will install the driver again for your cam. Preferably use the driver disk your computer came with if you have it. If none of those options work try doing a fresh boot up. Just unplug the computer and push the power button in for about 2-3 seconds with the power cord unplugged now plug the computer in again this resets the computer to default restart your computer. I cant install xp for the sata hard disks

The problem is that XP installation CD does not have a SATA driver, unless you have a SATA drive on a disk etc. and can install the driver when XP asks for a hard drive driver then, XP cannot detect the hard disk and therefore won't install XP.
The FIX.
Go into the BIOS and disable the SATA drive, this will make XP think it is a IDE/PATA hard disk. Then install XP normally, and all the device drivers (including the SATA driver).

My Gigabyte GA-MA785gm-US2H does not recognize my Samsung SATA hard drive. I can see that it exists in the Advanced Bios Features, in the Hard Disk Boot Priority, and nowhere else. I can not load Windoews...

If you are trying to install Windows XP then this is to be expected. WIndows XP doesnt have native support for SATA. You will need to identify the SATA driver you need, then put that driver on a floppy disk. DUring the install of XP it will ask if you have any drivers you want to install. CHoose yes and put the floppy disk with the drivers on it in the disk drive.

If you dont have a floppy drive then you will need to create an install disk with the SATA drivers on it.

I want to create intel driver cd

go to the intel website. Locate the correct drivers for the board. Download them and burn them onto a disk. If you want the drivers to self install, create an autorun file on the disk listing the names of each driver file. Call the autorun file "autorun.ini" If you want to make this disk bootable too, use nero to transfer the system files to the disk BEFORE you write anything else onto it..

Xp could not find sata hard disk

the driver is not included in the driver cab on the xp and server 2003 disks, you will need to download the drivers and put them on a floppy disk (usb floppy if you do not have an internal drive) then as the blue setup screen is loading press F6 to load the drivers.

I put a used e210882 socket 478 motherboard into my computer. which is a emachine. when i start booting the computer ask me what file to download windows xp into. what file should i send it to.

It is probably asking you to insert an XP disk, as Windows XP will need to install the new drivers for your new motherboard.  It will also give you the option to select a folder (this is what you are seeing) already on your hard drive that would contain the proper drivers for that motherboard.  Chances are this folder does not contain the proper drivers.  You will need an XP disk to install these drivers.  Boot with the XP disk in, and chances are Windows will take care of everything else.  If you do not have the XP disk you used to originally install Windows on that machine, then you can use a seperate PC to get the drivers required.  You will need to visit the website of the manufacturer (I believe emachines is your new mobo?) and download the drivers.  Then save them to disk.  When booting into your new system, make sure this new disk (you made from other pc) is in the drive, and then select that drive when it asks you for the folder you are talking about.  This will then install the proper drivers and you will be up and running shortly.  Hope this helps :)

Did you insert the sata driver disks when prompted in the first stages of installation? I think it's mentioned as scsi drivers.
