Issue When using the Scan To function on the control panel of a USB-connected product, ' No Scan Options: Refer to device documentation to troubleshoot ' appears on the control panel display.
NOTE: Follow these steps in the order presented to resolve the issue. It is not necessary to continue to further steps once the issue is resolved. Solution one: Make sure that the Digital Imaging Monitor is ready The Digital Imaging Monitor must be running in order for the Scan To function to work. If it is running, the DIM icon ( ) is present in the notification area. The notification area is located in the lower-right corner of the computer by the clock. Figure 1: Notification area If the DIM icon is in the system tray, you do not need to complete this procedure. Skip to the next solution. Follow these steps to set the computer to run the DIM.

1. On the Windows taskbar, click the Windows icon ( ).
2. In the Start Search text box, type msconfig , and then press Enter .
3. On the User Account Control window, click Continue . The System Configuration Utility window appears.
4. Click the Startup tab.
5. Select the HP Digital Imaging Monitor check box. If HP Digital Imaging Monitor is not on the list, the driver was not correctly installed or a custom install was used. Reinstall the software to resolve this issue.
6. Click Apply , and then click Close .
7. Click Yes to restart the computer.
8. Attempt the scan again.

1. On the Windows taskbar, click the Windows icon ( ), click All Programs , click HP , and then click HP Solution Center . HP Solution Center opens.
2. Click Scan Settings .
3. Click Scan to... Setup .
   NOTE: It might take several minutes for the list to populate. If the appropriate programs are already listed as scan destinations, discontinue this procedure. You must reinstall the software.
4. Click each program to include on the Scan To Destination list. Figure 2: Add destinations
5. Click the Add arrow. The program listing moves from the left side of the screen to the right.
6. Click OK .
7. Attempt the scan again. Try to scan from Solution Center if scanning from the control panel is unsuccessful.

Try This :
Need to download the 64 bit OS driver from hp.com
First uninstall the complete Software from the computer
Unplug the USB cable;
Then put the CD in the computer ;
Goto My computer- Right click on Black HP logo - Click on Explore - Open UTIL (Folder)- Open CCC (Folder)- Double Click on UNINSTALLATION L3 file;
If you don't have the Cd Uninstall the software from Add and remove programs
Restart the computer ;
Click on the below given link it will help you download the software :

Click on Download ;
Save to your desktop;
and then run the software;
Then while installation select the "Recommended" option and install it;
Try to scan from "HP Solution Center".. "home"

Have you got an installation CD or downloaded the printer driver?
If not you need to download the drivers from the Compaq/HP WEB support/download page. Make sure you select your model printer and the XP or Vista Windows version of the drivers you require and install them. Use this link to download the drivers: -

Then click on the downloaded file to install the printer driver.

Hi,

Please install the printer software and try to scan via the installed software from the computer. Or, start scan using scan button from printer; after installing software.
