Question about Magellan RoadMate 1412 Car GPS Receiver
No you cannot open it if the unit is under warranty call magellan and let them repair it but if the unit is no longer under a warranty magellan have a customer loyalty program were you can swap your old unit for a new one with a discounted price.

You may open the unit and solder the pins. I had one with the same problem after three months. Fixed first time, broken again and had to fix the 2nd time. It was not a good design

Can't add any addtional addresses in favorites (address book) have deleted many listings but still won't accept new ones ruth
