Check your Air hose that puts pressure to send the water.. it can clog very easly if you have an air compressor flip it over and blow air from the bottom to release anything in there

I have a Delonghi Multi Vac M31 and have never used the wet part...I would like to clean my carpet using the wet vacuum...can you please tell me how I can do this? Many thanks

A good place to start is the owner's manual. If you don't have one, you can google the make and model of your multi-vac to get another copy.

Most wet-vacs work off the same principle. Pre-vacuum the carpet to make sure there is not normal surface dirt and dust. Next Squirt on hot soapy water, scrub it in - then suck up the dirt and collect the dirty water.

So after vacuuming the area to be wet-vacuumed and you are lucky enough to have a separate reservoir on the wet-vac unit - add pre-mixed carpet cleaner into hot tap water (with carpet cleaner mixed into it by the ratios described on the carpet cleaner soap bottle) to the multi-vac water reservoir (from a quick look, the Delonghi doesn't have one) . With the settings for wet vac (per the owners manual), squeeze the trigger for applying the carpet cleaner. Typically, you will go slower than normal vacuuming. Give it a chance to soak in and dissolve/lift the grim and dirt. Come back slowly to pull the dirty water out of the carpet.

There are multi-wet vacs (like the M31) that don't have a reservoir for the carpet cleaner. In that case, you need to pre-mix a couple of gallons of carpet clean in a separate container or bucket. Next spray or sprinkle carpet cleaner onto/into the carpet. Try to scrub the cleaner into the carpet to really get at the dirt and lift it. Next is to vacuum up the wet stuff.

Some carpet cleaners do not contain an anti-foaming agent. I recommend you either add an anti-foaming agent or buy a carpet clean product that already contains it - otherwise, it tends to be a big mess that takes a lot more time.

I hope these tips help.

Hoover brush and wash instruction manual

Hi there! To prepare for cleaning, put the solution and water in the top tank. While cleaning, all the dirty water gets sucked into the bottom tank. To clean squeeze trigger to release cleaning solution and slowly push carpet cleaner forward, this equals one wet stroke. Continue to squeeze trigger and slowly pull carpet cleaner back toward you (second wet stroke). Release trigger and slowly push carpet cleaner forward over area just sprayed with solution (dry stroke). Then slowly pull carpet cleaner back toward you without squeezing trigger (dry stroke). To avoid saturating the carpet don't do more than 4 wet strokes over one area. Always end with dry strokes. Here is a link to view the instruction manual if needed.

Carpet stained

Ok in the future try to have carpet cleaned only by a pro. For spot cleaning use white paper towels or dish towels and warm water. (ONLY WHITE) 99% of fabric is white and then dyed to color and if you use a color cloth you might pull the dye from the cloth into the carpet. Now what you can try is your basic dishwashing detergent like electrosal with warm water and a dishtowel. little at a time try to blot not rub. try AFTA if that doesnt work. wet the rag first with warm water. pour the afta on the wet rag not on the carpet.

Need to get water out of my carpet

There is a lever to switch from "clean" to "tools". On the tools setting, it doesn't suck up water.
