Question about Sony Televison & Video
Our 9-year old SONY KV-20FV10 blinks off (black screen) and on perhaps a dozen times before anormal image appears. The blinking is growing worse (faster and longer episodesof blinking) as time passes. I tested the connections at the back of the TV;everything seemed to be fine. Any ideas?
Your TV needs Screen Volt (G2) adjustment and you can do it yourself if you are comfortable with TV repair.
All you need to do is unplug TV from AC wall socket, take off back cover and find Fly Back Transformer 9it has thick wire that goes to top side of picture tube) This part has 2 control knobs on it.
Plug back TV in AC socket, turn TV ON and wait 10 minutes to get it warm up, turn slightly lower control knob clockwise to increase screen volts. Confirm picture appears on screen. Put back cover on TV and job is done.
Hope that will solve your problem.
