My Kirby seems to be putting more dirt on the floor than what it is picking up? The brush roller is turning but it leaves dust streaks . It also shoots particles out the side instead of vacuuming it up....

Hi there. It sounds like you belt may be stretched. Simple turn vac upside down, start it up and carefully press your hand on the brush. If the belt is stretched the rollewr will stop turning. If this does not help, you probably have a clog in the power head area. Hope this helps, Chris

Want to blow air out to inflate mattress

You need to remove the main head with the brushes from the front and install the safety cup. The remove the bag by unclipping from the top and disconnecting the boot end from the bottom with an outwards twist. Now attach the hose to the exposed outlet; attached the thin nozzel designed for inflating to the hose and switch on - you will feel air being expelled from the hose.
Air, which normally contains dirt and dust because you're hoovering is blown into the bag, but now with the bag removed; the air is blown into your hose, through the attachment and into what ever needs inflating.

How do I inflate a plastic matress with my kirby vacuum

You will need to disengage the MINI Emptor...by rotating the bag cuff where the bag connects to the body. Then engage the hose at that port where the dirt would blow into the bag. Then put a reducer on the hose end if required.
Remember the hose is dirty inside ... do not blow inside the house and clear the hose first before inflating...

Kirby g4 problem

1. Take the brush roll and belt off the vacuum. Put the head back on the vac.
2. Turn it on and see if the bag inflates with good power. Does it sound normal? This will tell you if the problem is with the motor. If you have a good inflation of the bag and a bad noise in the motor, you need to take it in for service. If the motor is fine, you need a new spinning brush assembly.

The screw heads of the brush roll face towards the floor so you can adjust them while the brush is in the vacuum. When you turn them clockwise the brush comes down and gets closer to the floor for better carpet cleaning. You should also change the belt on that vac once a year. Just because the belt isn't broken doesn't mean it's o.k. Once they stretch out the power from the motor is lost and the brush won't clean anything.

Kirby g6 making loud whining noise

That Is a common annoyance with Kirby's. They whine like that in hose mode. I have a g6 and it does it to. And they also get hotter.
You can hear the whining in this video.

Could be the bearings, especially if the machine is old or the dust filters have not been replaced regularly.
Check to see if the noise is still present after the machine winds down when the power is turned off. A rattling sounds means bearings.

Some vacuums come with a blow part as well as a suction port. You will just have to find one of those, Rexair and electrolux is a couple of them that have both ports, but even those, not all models come that way.
