and also check the vga cable that is try to connect it first with vga port and then try with dmi port if you have...

Most common failure in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, check the main AC fuse, look for burnt parts, bad solder connection. First check the connections to make sure they are tight,next go to desktop settings and make sure the external monitor has the same color configuration.

I typically do capacitor replacement on lcds all the time insde, the board for power will most likely have 1 - 4 blown capacitors, replace these and the monitor should be good as new, btw 1 is a 10 v smallish size you can replace it with a 16 volt same MF.

May be your video in the computer that trouble you.
Try changing the video card and see the result.If it is still the same that mean your video card in the LCD is the problem.

Try connecting the monitor to another computer and see if it has the same problem. If so, sounds like part of the display has gone bad. If it is still under warranty, try to get it repaired/replaced. If it's not under warranty, you might be better off getting a new monitor rather than trying to get it fixed, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
