SOURCE: The Hampton Bay Altura Ceiling fan functions only with remote.

I contacted the manufacturer (kingofffans.com) after my Altura fan would run on high speed only and the remote would not control any thing. They said their was a manufacturing defect with a capacitor that affected many of the Altura fans. We are now on a waiting list for a new capacitor and housing, because they did not have enough replacement parts.

SOURCE: Hunter ceiling fan remote problem

You will most likely need to replace the receiver with a new one from hunter. The receiver is actually a complete controller and contains the receiver, relays (which you hear clicking) and starting condensors(large capacitors which hold a charge that is "dumped" over the windings to get the motor to start from a dead stop). These appear to be pretty tightly assembled unless you have a desire to start replacing parts "off the board."

SOURCE: Hunter ceiling fan remote 85095-01 stopped working

it also could be one of the the jumpers fell out of the remote
they are located just above the battery. you will need to match the placement of the jumpers with the receiver mounted in the fan.

I need a remote control modual for a dawn sun model #fd-30-ho2r

Hello, Harry -

I believe a Dawn Sun is a model name for a Harbor Breeze ceiling fan. You probably do not realize it, but your question landed in the Fixya.com category for Television & Video.

I found some Harbor Breeze universal remote controls on the Lowes website:
https://www.lowes.com/pl/Ceiling-fan-remote-controls-Ceiling-fan-parts-accessories-Ceiling-fans-accessories-Lighting-ceiling-fans/4294395598?refinement=4294965856

Be sure to read the specifcations, reviews, and Community Q&As for each universal remote control before ordering one. You will want to make sure the remote control you choose works with the Dawn Sun fd-30-ho2r model ceiling fan.

Best wishes.

I need to replace the remote, uc 7067rya

You should be able to get a universal remote for a ceiling fan at home depot or lowes. Be aware they only sell then WITH the remote and the receiver unit as a package. Be aware, you'll need to check the 4 "dip pin" positions on the receiver unit on the fan itself to program the new remote. Yes, you'll have a spare receiver left in the package unless you choose to install the new one. You may have to remove the fan to do this, as they're usually found in the canopy (where the fan hangs from the box in the ceiling.) Often, the dip switches are just left all "up," however, they could easily have been changed. Some fans are programmable now, and you can test the code without having to check the receiver in the fan (similar to an older TV remote.) If you're using this for a TV, Satellite dish, etc, you'll need to find a compatible one online (not necessarily that model, it's "UNIVERSAL" and follow the instructions that come with it. TV and Ceiling fan remotes operate totally differntly, so if you have a remote that does both tasks, it's fairly new technology, and you'll have to follow instructions for the one you purchase.

Harbor breeze ceiling fan w/lights&remote

Did the fan have a remote when it was purchased? If so, you already have a receiver in the fan somewhere. You'll have to find it to see if you can set the new transmitter to the same frequency.

Ceiling fan has no remote, does not work with switch

Home Depot/Lowe's etc have a remote kit specific to ceiling fans. your universal remote may not be compatible with your specific type of remote sensor that is up in the base of your ceiling fan. Check a user's manual to see the specifications of your specific Model # of fan to see what requirements they set for it. You would probably be better off just getting a new kit for an average $12 to get it working again.

Wish you luck.

Remote control replacement.

There is a a major ceiling fan manufacturer in Fort Lauderdale FL called King of Fans (website: kingoffans.com) that deals strictly with Hampton Bay ceiling fans & parts. They are the Home Depot distributor for Hampton Bay ceiling fans. Their number is 1-800-330-3267. There is also a 1-877-527-0313 number for Hampton Bay products other than ceiling fans...

You can also try ebay for OEM replacement fan remotes for the various brands including Hampton Bay...
