Hello do you have a black screen? no video appears on screen, from what i have encountered is the cpu is going out. Try hard resetting the computer by pulling the battery and holding down the power button for 10 seconds. Replace battery and reboot. If problem still exists you will need to replace the cpu.
You may try this fix. No guaranties though. Remove the battery and unplug power cable. Then hold down the "power" button for about 10 seconds. After that plug it back in and try turning it on. Again, this may NOT work but it has for others.

Boot your laptop. After the laptop shutdow and just at the screen light up, hit f1 or f2 key to enter any setup screen. Then hit F10 to exit. after reboot, your touch pad should come back. It worked for me many times.

Open the Notebook from the back side and locate the RAM. Now remove the RAM and place it again and check, you can even try inserting the RAM in different slot if any used slot is available.
Check out.

Hello, in www.hp.com you go into support and drivers and write in search yours computer name and model and you will see a long list of fail codes, many of those codes are in a range of CPU- , Graphics- , memory- and BIOS-failures.
Go to the computer store there you bought your computer and reclaim repairs or replacement, IF you not have open(repairing) or misconfigured(wrong BIOS-file) your computer.
