the bottom half of the remote slides down ... that will reveil lots of lesser used controls including zoom .. you can also get to zoom via the menu system .. but its easier to just slide open the bottom cover on the remote and push zoom ..

On shooting mode, press MENU,then move down to Digital Zoom. Use right or left buttons to change the digital zoom options. For example: you can set on 1.6x, 2x, etc.

on what dvd player also has zoom mode set it at 16.9 on all units once no zoom in or do u use dish hd page up down will adjust size also

i have the same problem. i finally went to "setup", "video" and selected "16:9". it doesn't fill the whole screen but it is better.
