Question about Toshiba Satellite Pro A210-EZ2202X Notebook

Toshiba Satelite A-210 won't turn on

I pulled out a stick of RAM to check it and then put it back in, now it won't turn on. Seems to spin the DVD drive twice but no beeps and the HD light never comes on. I checked to make sure the RAM was back in properly already.
Someone please help me, it's my wife's laptop and she's going to be mad....

Thanks for the quick solution. I ended up pulling the battery, holding down the power button for 30 seconds and then plugging the laptop back in. That seems to have fixed it. Something must have glitched when I pulled the stick of RAM out.
All better now. My wife isn't going to kill me.

If you have more then one stick of RAM in the laptop then go ahead and take them both out. Put one stick of RAM in one slot and turn on the laptop and see if you get video, if not then stick the RAM into the other slot and turn on the laptop. If you still dont get video then try the other stick of RAM in one slot and turn it on, and then if no video then try the other slot and turn it on. If still no luck then try a 3rd stick of RAM in each slot if possible. If you still dont' get video, then make sure at least one stick or RAM is in a slot then go ahead and take out the battery and only hook up the ac adapter and then see if you get video. If that doesn't work then take out the hard drive and also take out the dvd drive. If after these last two steps if you still don't get video then the motherboard is bad and would need to be replaced to fix the problem. Let me know if you need some help. Ben

It usually better using the burn software that came with the multi burner because it will be compatible with your multi buner. Windows media player burning cannot be compatible to all the burners on the market.

My toshiba l675d-s7013 laptop screen won't come on?

turn off your laptop take out the battery and hold the power button for 20-60 secs to discharge it and then put the battery back in and reboot or remove the battery and the ram clean the ram or try another stick of ram then press the power button and see if that restores your laptop.

if not plug another monitor into the external vga port, if the external monitor works then your laptop screen is faulty.

if the external monitor is also black or blank then the inverter inside the laptop needs to be checked or replaced.

My hp pavilion won't start up. The harddrive spins and the fan is on but the screen is blank

It could be a RAM issue. Try removing the RAM stick(s). Inspect it as best as you can. If there is more than one, only put one back in. Be triple sure it seats properly and firmly. Now turn on the computer.

If you still don't get a picture, take that RAM stick back out and try a different one. If one is all you have, then try a different RAM port (if your computer is equipped with another port). In other words, pull that RAM stick back out and insert it into the other port. If still no picture, and you only had one RAM stick -- either that RAM stick is bad, or your problem is not RAM related. At least at that point you will have ruled something else out. And at this point, your computer needs to go geek-hands-on. I hope this is helpful to you. If so, please take a sec to rate me. Thanks!

I have a Toshiba P500-ST5801. When I turn it on it gives me a toshiba startup screen but freezes there. If I try pressing F2 to enter setup I here a beep and it freezes. pls help.

Remove your memory (RAM), power it on see if it acts the same way. If it does put only one RAM stick back into it, and try again. If same thing remove that RAM and replace with the RAM you hadn't tried yet. If the same thing, as long as your fan is still spinning my just be bad RAM.

How to replace CD?DVD IN A135-S4467

It's very easy. First turn the laptop off with the DVD bay open. You will have to unscrew the memory ram cover, and pull it.
Afterwards you take a look at the screw that's on the left of the ram's compartiment. See this picture:
If you look close to the ram compartment you will see a screw on the left side. Unscrew it and that's it. You will only have to pull the dvd rom firmly outside the laptop-you can pull it from the bay, that why I've told you to let it open.

My toshiba satelite laptop beeps continuosly, non-stop

First, check the memory (RAM) of your computer. remove and put it back in. Also checkif therre is only one or two memory sticks in, so you can check on both. It should work fine, and if not, try replacing the memory of your laptop.
