Question about Kitchen Ranges
It sounds as if the latch is stuck in the locked position and when you go to close the door it won't engage because of this. If this is the case you can often insert a hanger into these Dacor latches and pull the lock over. The latch is spring loaded and it needs to be pulled to the left. There is a knack to it and access is sometimes difficult and the latch can be very stiff to move. Another solution that sometimes works is to briefly trip off the power to the oven for a minute or so hence causing the control board to reset the locking position.
