Watch it to lean how to replace battery of the logitech cordless mouse ( Logitech MX 1000 Model). If you are having a different model please specify the details of your model.
hi marlys, i am happy to assist , Ya its not too easy to replace battery in logitech cordless mouse,in the back of mouse, you have mouse pad just remove it , you can see they provision to remove the mouse, there been Four screws been inside that mouse pad, But before going to open your mouse just check you have new battery with you, if you connt find in any shops just go to eBay , you can get it thee, If you mansion the excate model name of your mouse mean i will send video for that particular model itself , no issue just check out this video
if u look seriously. you can get above side is two part and below side is one part, press above scroll ,'againast side of the cover and pull (there is a plastick lock.)

on the bottom, then try this. Just behind the Left and Right keys where
your hand rests, apply firm pressure down on the cover and slide to the
rear. Some mouse manufactures have used this type of access to replace
the batteries.

Hello,
I had a similar problem with my battery going dead in my Logitech mouse. There was a "aa" battery located under the rear top cover. it's the part that has the Logitech logo on it. You simply press the button underneath the mouse @ the back that has a LOCK symbol on it & lift off the cover. Put in a new battery & you should be good to go.
