MX600 Logitech laser cordless mouse, left button stops working

Mouse button on left side stops clicking things when I hit it. Problem stops immedietly if I yank the wireless receiver from usb port and re-insirt it, or reboot mac e.t.c. Hitting the connect button on mouse or receiver does nothing. Batteries are working perfectly. Problem mostly occurs when using an application in full screen i.e. WoW, WC3. However that's really all I do with it too so could be coincidence. Keyboard from set is unaffected in any way. Mouse is new. Using OSX vs 10.4.11 on PowerPC G5 Mouse receiver is connected to rear usb panel of Monitor. Mouse is using Logitec control center utility vs 2.4 Please help, And thank you.

Just found a temporary solution (fixes the immediate problem, but it does return):

Turned the mouse off held down both buttons, turned it on, let go of both buttons. When you let go, it works again.

Spyder mouse won't work

I had a similar problem. I corrected by performing a manual connect as listed in the manual that came with the mouse.
Manual reconnect:
1. Plug in the receiver.
2. Turn on the mouse.
3. Press the button on the receiver.
4. Press the connect button on the mouse once within five seconds of pressing the button on the receiver.

This worked for me, and the mouse has worked fine since.

If this doesn't work. The manual suggested taking the batteries out of the mouse for 20 seconds and unplugging the receiver, then repeat the steps above.
If that doesn't work. reboot the computer and repeat the steps above.

Hope this helps.

The part that goes into the USB port is the mouse receiver. If it has a button on it, press it and then tuen your mouse over and press the button on the bottom of your mouse. This is the reset/connect button.
Hope this is of some help. Bud

Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse Not Connecting

After reading on Microsoft about replacing the batteries, down loading drivers and "press the button on the receiver and the connect button the receiver" - I got frustrated and almost gave it flight. Then my wife stepped in and realized that there was a green reset button on the USB connector as well. (who knew?) SO.... you press the green light (which is a button) and release it.... should blink. Then go to THE MOUSE portion and press the connect button for 5 seconds or so.... and wala...... One mouse that plays again! This ones gonna cost me! :) I hope this one works for ya!

Wireless mouse

A wireless mouse consists of a mouse and a receiver. The receiver plugs into a USB port and should immediately work. To use the special features of the mouse such as the additional buttons you must install the driver software. Sometimes you will have to press the sync button on the receiver to communicate with the mouse. You should have a receiver that plugs into your usb or your ps/2 mouse port and then your wireless mouse connects via infrared to the receiver. Plug it in and hit the sync buttons. It's wireless so it most likely has a USB receiver, just plug that into the USB slot (it's about 1/2 an inch wide) on the back or side, and then depending on the mouse it might have a connect button or a reset. If it came with a disk you should insert that first.
