Question about Zenith E44W48LCD 44" Rear Projection HDTV
I have a 5 month old zenith e44w48lcd, prior to not turning on at all the set would make a humming noise for 4-5secounds and then turn on.. When the set went down, I was in the middle of watching a movie. The set just powered off and hasn't turned on since.. Now when I try to turn it on I get a red light on the operation indicator, and the lamp indicator starts to flash red after a few minutes.. The set dosn't make any noises.. I performed a continuity test on the bulb and did not have continuity, I'm not sure if these lamps are similar to a regular bulb, should I get continuity? And does this sound like a bulb problem?
According to the E44W48LCD service manual, the temperature indicator red light states the projection TV shut down due to overheating. Red (flashing) states the projection TV shut down, check the cooling fan.
