i can recommend read very well you owner manual specially the troubleshooting section. The images in the LCD monitor will darken in strong sunlight or bright light. This is a normall occurrence the devices containing CCDS, and doesnot contitute a malfunctions. If you are using too much the flash+zoom, the batteries quicly will drain. maintian another set of batteries for replace, or better buy recharges batteries. God bless you
If you mean the image can't be seen in bright sunlight but you can view it just fine when you bring the camera indoors, this is a common problem with all digital cameras.
It sounds like the light sensor on the camera is malfunctioning. Try cleaning the sensor. If the senor doesn't work at all it will not be able to tell when the camera is operationg in bright light. Kind of like having your eyes dialated and walking outside on a sunny day.
It sound like the liquid has been exposed to either direct sunlight or extreme weather change it is probably weakened the fluid. Good luck...Be mucho Blessed... mark
