Had the same problem after a severely unbalanced load caused the washer to basically stop in the spin cycle. After rebalancing the load and finishing the wash, we found a strange little red plastic clip in the clothes and wondered where it came from. Then by chance we spotted the end of a spring attached to the top of the inside of the drum where it had not been visible before. We took the plastic lid off, popped off the two covers for the screws holding the top of the washer, removed the two screws, and lifted the top up at the front. There we found the one spring on the left front side had come undone. The red plastic clip fit into the top of the drum in a little slot that was obvious, and the spring attached to the clip. That was all there was to it. Repair and reassembly done in under five minutes. There is only one spring on the newer washers. Ours is only a few months old and I am not sure about the model number, but all the new ones look to be made the same.
