Question about Ryobi Garden

Ryobi 825 weed whacker not getting fuel to carburetor

I was using my 825 and it suddenly stopped, I realized I had a broken fuel line, I have replaced the fuel line, blew out the fuel line filter in the fuel tank, checked the oil, and in general gave it a good maintenance check, I even replaced the fuel with fresh non-leaded 78 octane fuel. However, I have not been able to get so much as a cough out of it. I have replaced the spark plug but I don't think it was necessary as I was getting quit a jolt with the old one when I pulled it through. I am usually able to repair most of my equipment as long as I can get parts, but this one has got me stumped. I was wondering if I should be thinking about valve clearances? Any help ypu can provide will be appreciated.

You will need to disassemble the carburetor and spray with carb.cleaner. Make sure the small screen is free of debris. (Should be able to see daylight through it.)

IMPORTANT: Use a Den Tek Brush, (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=165357&catid=1152), to clean the small portals in carb. These portals can become blocked. Reassemble and start.
