Not likely the battery but the programming or firmware needs to be upgraded by the carrier. The network signal is being interupted

Why is my service not working today there is no tracphone service it says network not available emergency only

Service outage probably. Unfortunately it happens. Emergency puts you onto any available network.

I can not call. When I try it reads emergency only or network not available. Phone is useless.

Sounds like a non-payment service denial...
Check with your service provider to clear up any misunderstandings.

Inside the first 30 days... then things get UGLY...

Good luck keeping things pretty.

My razor maxx is stuck in emergency call screen. how do i fix it

Either the phone is broken (not likely), or the sim card is bad (more likely). Stuck on ''emergency calls only'' can also happen due to running out of minutes on your plan. And/or failure to pay the bill and losing service because of that. // Basically, whenever a phone does not have a service provider (for whatever reason), by law it must be able to dial emergency 911. So, if you are out of minutes and/or don't have a phone plan, your phone would do exactly what it is doing. Same thing if the Sim card is bad. The phone doesn't detect a ''service provider'' and so it goes into ''emergency mode.'' Ask your service provider to check your sim card for you.

Call restriction 34

I have a similar problem with my Samsung on Vodafone, but the "emergency calls only" error message. Solution is to re-boot it by power off and on. Problem appears irregularly, but functions OK once re-booted. If this solves your problem, then I assume that the other error messages are simply the sort of behaviour associated with computers hanging etc.

My sciphone wont let me make calls and keeps saying emergency calls only

Make sure that the phone is seeing your network. If it isn't then go outside and try again. Get a signal then the phone should work.

If the network is showing but still saying emergency calls only then with the phone still on remove the battery. Place the battery back in the phone and power back up, this should solve the problem.

Did this take care of the problem? If not then you have a bad SIM card and must be replaced.

I turn on my phone it goes to a screen saying Emergency Download

Wait does it say emergency mode only? If so this has happened to me many times on this phone.

Turn off the phone and remove the battery. In there will be you should see the SIM card. Pull out the SIM and put it back in. Put back the battery and turn on your phone.

For some reason on these phones the SIM card gets dislodged. When it does the phone won't work because the SIM card is what makes the phone your number etc. All cell phones, that have no service otherwise will be able to call 911. Apparently it is a law, so that is why your phone is on emergency mode. Without the SIM card the phone is a phone without service and will therefore only work in emergency mode.

I hope this is what you meant.

you can take the battery and the back off the device and place in completely submerged in a bag of white rice and leave it in there for 1 to 2 days this will help absorb the moisture, this should fix it if the water did not damage the circut boards if the water damaged the circut boards then the device is fried
