If you switch to a different game, and it still doesn't work, then it definetly wasn't caused by the game. I don't think a store bought game can cause permanent damage to the system anyway (although a pirated copy or homebrew software can). I know this may seem simple, but have you checked the HDMI switch on the AV cable? Also, check to see if something (dust, dirt, soda) got on the cable end and got the contacts in the back of the 360 dirty. I had a network cable that had soda spilled on it (I didn't know) and it took me two days to figure out why my 360 wouldnt connect to the net. I had to clean the contacts in the back of the Xbox with a contact pen. Good luck.

Have you tried pulling all other scart connections out of the TV, and putting the X box scart in the very top one. I know it sounds weird, but ive heard it works, something to do with the other appliances taking away the picture. Worth a go.
Hope this helps
