If you want to install a fresh version of windows xp is to have you hard drive wiped clean. This means format it.

HI,
Ones you install graphics card then the display connection with motherboard will not work.

Have you accessed the BIOS each time you swapped drives?
I don't know your board but you may have to let the BIOS examine your hardware and choose 'safe defaults' for you.
Also, flaky memory will cause all kinds of hangups-

Installing XP on P III 866 MHz pc

Hi Mri,
Download this software by clicking on this link.
http://www.killdisk.com/downloadfree.htm

Everything you need is on the site. Bottom line, this software will erase your drive & allow you to install Windows XP what every version. You can try installing you're current drive into another working system & you might be able to pull you're personal data off the drive. It's worth a shot. One way or another you're MBR & FAT system are out to lunch. It just happends.(Suprised you haven't received any blue screens)!

If I can be of more service, just post.
Let me know how thing go.

Good Luck!

Mike

What version is your board. PC Chips P23G V1.0 up to V3.0 ?

Upgrade problems

The p23g V1.0 motherboard doesn't support the core duo processor. Do not try to install it or you may damage either the board or the processor.

The p23g V3.0 support also the core duo processor

Follow this link and you can see for each motherboard the different processor used.

My suggestion is that you use the p29g
