Not cleaning top rack of dishes
Check for clogged holes in the dishwasher arm. You might be able to use a strightened out paper-clip to unclog the holes, if they're not too bad. The other thing that would stop the wash arm from turning could be a build-up of calcium in the shaft or bearing of the wash arm. Remove the wash arm and clean it out manually. Then you will probably want to get and use a dishwasher cleaner, like Dishwasher Magic to clean out calcium you can't see or get to (easily).

sewnice, you might have to dig a little deeper to correct the problem. As long as you can spin the spray arm with your hand and it's not split it should be ok. Your chopper screen might be plugged. You will have to remove the lower spray arm and filter cover. These are torq screws. The accumulator assy. turns to the right to unlock and will lift off. It will take some pressue to snap it off the rear fill tube. Now you will be looking down at the cover that protects the chopper and screen. There is one torq screw holding it down. Remove the screw and lift it off. See if the screen is clogged. If it is, it will prevent the pump from sending water to the upper spray arm in force. Catriver..post back
SOURCE: My dishwasher is not washing dishes on the top rack...
HI,
The top rack is not cleaning because of low water pressure from the wash motor to the upper spray arm.
Assuming the top spray arms are clear of debris, remove the lower spray arm to access the wash motor. Remove the 4 torx screws and the filter (accumulator assembly). Remove the torx screw and the inlet protector that covers the chopper assembly. Make sure the chopper is not broken (broken chopper will fill with debris and block water flow). While holding the chopper blade, reach inside the "D" shaped opening on top of the motor and spin the wheel/motor by hand in each direction to make sure either the chopper gear or the motor gear that drives the chopper is not broken. Replace the chopper if necessary . If the motor gear is broken, replace the sump and motor assembly . Remove any debris from the sump area in the process.
You don't have to shut the power off to the dishwasher because the door will be open, but if you feel more comfortable, do so.
thanks,

Hi: I just posted a similar problem, but found a solution. After taking the arm, etc. apart (and verifying no blockages), I thought maybe the lack of water pressure was being caused by the fact that there are TWO holes for the top spray arm (higher and lower rack setting) on my model. ie. that water was being forced out of both holes, causing a drop in water pressure, which was causing the top spray arm to stop spinning. I plugged the unused hole with a wine bottle cork (to keep the water from spraying out the unused hole), and voila, it now works.
I wish all appliance fixes were this easy...!

Check the riser tube coming from the pump assembly and be sure it isn't blocked or that something else isn't obstructing the pump intake area. Make sure the upper wah arm assembly isn't excessively loose on the spindle and losing pressure because it's leaking. You may have to remove the lower rack, lower wash arm and cover to see.
If everything is clear, it could be a worn or damaged pump impeller. If the machine drains normally, it's not the motor.
Hello ezideas - First I suggest verifying that there is enough water pressure coming into the unit and that it is at least 120F. Do you noticed if the spray arm will rotate freely or if it is damaged? If so, the spray arm assembly may need to be replaced. Connect with a professional to accurately pinpoint any potentially more serious issue.
