I find that most problems for me have been from poorly wound bobbins or very dense designs. With the dense design, when nearing the end the hoop starts catching/jumping up with the needle, breaking thread. I use software to decrease density one or two increments then embroider. Clean out the bobbin shuttle and the upper thread path. Change needle & make sure your stabilizer is appropriate for the fabric. If too lightweight it tends to shred causing issues.

SOURCE: I have a Brother SE-270D

its the problem of the timing belt in your machine its extra loosen or extra tightned or is slightly came out of its position or finally broken.
as the machine is proper just missing the proper speed as it should be .
it is running continuosly as you stated.
check the timing belt and make it proper if its worn out and needs replacement this is how its done

There is an adjusting screw on the right side of the machine head. Follow the motor bracket to the machine head and loosen that big old screw or bolt which will raise or lower the motor giving you slack to remove or replace the belt.

feel free for further queries
thanks

SOURCE: My brother PE-400 sewing quit sewing

The "race" on your machine needs adjusting. Remove the bobbin cover, bobbin, & case. What you have left is the race, it moves when you turn the large wheel on the top right of machine. The needle also moves up and down. There is a hook on the race that catches the needle thread. Try moving the race to the line up with the needle. It may take a couple of trys but it should do the trick. Also clean any threads that may be caught on or arround the race. Hope this helps!

SOURCE: not sewing - jamming

Could it be that the feed dogs are down? I also have the 15358 and when I opened the bobbin area to clean it, I had this problem. Apparently, when you open the clips around the outside of the casing, it pushes the lever that adjusts the feed dogs to the right (lowering them). I didn't even realize it at first. Check your manual for adjusting this lever to raise the feed dogs. That might solve your problem.

SOURCE: won't catch bobbin thread

In order to see whether or not my euro-pro 9110 had a timing issue, the service rep had me change out the needle (making sure I was using anything but a Singer brand needle--they do not work in these machines). I re-threaded the needle, took out the bobbin casing and the plastic ring encasing the bobbin, then lowered the needle to see if the hook on the metal ring holding the bobbin actually catches the thread on its own. If it doesn't catch, it's a timing issue and needs repair. They can walk you through this process of troubleshooting and set up repair if need. SOURCE: Brother pe770 bobbin thread is showing on top of fabric.

First check threading. If it is done properly, then it's probably because it is dirty between the lower tension blade and the bobbin case body. Remove this blade, clean, reassemble and it shoud work.

My brother 4500D keeps giving me an error message check and rethread upper thread and the thread is bunching underneath my embroidery

If the display reads "Check and rethread upper thread", follow the steps below to resolve the issue:
1. Upper thread may be broken.
2. Upper thread may be caught on the spool on top of the machine.
3. Upper thread spool may have run out of thread.
4. Replace the needle in the machine with a new needle. Your needle could be bent or burred causing the thread to break.
Turn your machine off and rethread the machine from the start.

Have a Brothers pe770. Having trouble with thread contently breaking but just kept rethreading. Tonight the little long brush on take-up lever feel off. Can I still use machine? How do I fix this?

If the tread keeps breaking could be it's old thread, need new needle or needle and thread not the right combo for material. Or yiur tension is too tight.
not sure about the brush falling off. Up to you to try sewing.

rethread needle using every thread guide, also try changing the needle, if that doesn't help them the machine may have a computer problem

My brother pe770 is allowing bobbin thread to show on top sporadically which makes the stitching look like it is speckled with white. I have adjusted tension..cleaned and changed everything.

Shelia,

when sewing these parts of the design, (small stitches? ) load your bobbin with the same top thread. Just match the top thread color, and done! No more white bobbin thread in the topside of your designs.

Why does thread gather in bobbin area and jam machine

Completely unthread the top and bobbin threads. Clean any lint build up out of the bobbin race assembly using the little brush and some canned air. Check that the needle is inserted correctly...with the flat side towards the back. Then carefully rethread the top and the bobbin threads. Make sure the bobbin is inserted correctly...if it's backwards the machine won't sew properly.

Error message

Try changing your needle, make sure there is no thread caught in the looper, and maybe use different thread brand. My machine does not like Coats and Clark brand it eats it up every time try sulky or another higher end brand thread if your not already using it.

Error Code: Check and rethread the upper thread

Yes. It is a sensor on the take up spring. If you miss threading the take up spring you get this error. If take up spring is bent or broken you get this error or if sensor is damaged this error occurs.

The machine is pulling through more bobbin thread than embroidery thread

Sounds like a tension issue. Try rethreading the upper thread first and then lower the upper thread tension.
