Are your controllers connected to the xbox? that is how you get green light bars around your main green light bar. If you are not refuring to this and nuthing is showing up on your tv screen but you have sound try ajusting/ spinning around the yellow av cord ( Yellow cord is what projects pictures onto screen) . Hope it helped. =]

CONNECTING XBOX 360 TO A LCD PANASONIC VIERA TV

You need to Connect via, the Component Video, the xables are Blue, Red, Green, ALL Video, and go color to color, from, Xbox to TV, and you Select EXTERNAL INPUT, on TV. OR You must use the Composite, Video, which is Yellow, for Video, again, cables go color to color. The Audio, as you have discovered, is Red & White. Now, if using HDMI, you do not usually need the Red 7 White audio, as it's all in the one signal, though the HDMI. Again, you select the relevant, INPUT On the TV, And also select the output on the Xbox, and you should be all OK.

Xbox 360 power supply light turns yellow when xbox 360 is off (usually i think) and turns green when on, I've had one red ring on my xbox to,twice

make sure your xbox is in an open area where it can breathe, otherwise the one red ring means there is a hardware failure, if it is under warrenty send it back into xbox, otherwise there are some diy fixes on youtube

I think the video cable for my xbox is messed up. Why does it keep showing up these little circle things? Whenever I turn on my xbox it doesn't come up anything but a black screen with little circles...

NOT HD: Make sure red goes to red, white on white, and yellow on yellow, also make sure the switch that is on the xbox wire plug says TV not HD.

HD TV: Make sure red on red, white on white, yellow on yellow, blue on blue, green on green, etc. Also make sure the switch that is on the xbox wire plug says HD not TC

Oblivion error

Does it not download correctly?

Make sure you delete the partially dl'd content (in the memory selection in the system menu). Also, clear the system cache by going to the memory menu. Select Y for device settings and then "clear cache."

In my experience, you have better luck downloading content OUT of the game you are downloading the DLC for. Go to marketplace, rather than go in the game and download.

Hope this helps,
Bill

3 red lights and yellow power supply light

at the very least the main board is acting flaky with the 3 red lights flashing. Here is tutorial courtesy of LLAMA to show how to resolve that problem:

http://www.llamma.com/xbox360/repair/ring_of_light_x-clamp_fix.htm

As far as the yellow light on the power supply is concerned. Unhook it from the Xbox 360 and only plug it into a power outlet. If the light is yellow then the power supply is bad. If the light stays green then plug it into the xbox 360, if it tells yellow then, at that point you know that the main board is causing the yellow light on the power supply and that means the main board is bad.

360 freezing

I've had a similar problem. It usually stems from the system overheating. Make sure your unit is getting enough airflow.

This page has a good run down of common Xbox problems and how to fix them yourself.

No video output, just sound

well first make sure if you have a av cable that has both component and regualr avi jacks that the cable is set to right setting

HD - blue, red, green, and audio (red n white)
TV - yellow and audio (red n white)

should be a switch on the thick part the connects into the 360
