SOURCE: onkyo ht-r530 goes off immediately after turning it on

While you are trying to turn it on, it is likely that it is cooling off. Thus you could get the same results by not trying to operate it but let it sit for about 10-15 minutes. Over heating is a common problem. If you have anything sitting on top of it or too close to it, such as another device that has heat of it's own, move it. Also, if you listen at loud volumes and/or are using inefficient speakers that will also make it run too hot and trip the thermal protection circuit. Turn off any equalization or "loudness" features or listen at a lower volume...may also want to get a small fan to run on it too.

SOURCE: onkyo HT-R560 receiver

The unit most likely blew up a capacitor. If you look in through the slots on the top of the unit you should see 2 big black caps (C6901 and C6902) with shiny silver-ish tops. I should also point out that you probably flew up a 125v 8A (F901) glass fuse on the board that the AC cord plugs into. The glass fuse can be found at Radio Shack, but the caps are a bit more troublesome to find. They are 10,000uF 69v and thats just not a standard part, so you may need to up the voltage requirement and buy a 75v cap. Total to fix the amp yourself: Should be about $35 with shipping.

SOURCE: My Onkyo HT-R510 will shut down after several

Might be over heating. Make sure you don't have anything sitting directly on top of it. I even put a little fan blowing outward at the back of my system to keep it cool.

I have a buzzing coming from my suuround sound speakers

Check to make sure your audio cables aren't touching any power cables. This will ensurethat you aren't getting signal interruption from latent overflow. Next, make sure you volume levels are correct. You could be overdriving the channel with too much output. Finally, make sure your speakers and/or source aren't next to anything with a strong radiation signal such as a transmitting device (2.4 GHz phone or microwave). Let me know if you've verified this and then we'll troubleshoot further. This sounds like interference to me.

Onkyo HT-RC360 The receiver has a clicking sound when powered on. then turns off

No! I'am afraid not, if you have checked your wires carefully and it checked, the audio output semiconductors will require a technician to remedy the problem.

When power button turned on, receiver powers up

I have had the same problem with my new Onkyo HT-S 5305B (A/V Receiver + 5.1 speakers). To solve this, try to follow "Troubleshooting" guide that came with your system. I followed it 2-3 times. In my final attempt, when system was not shutting down but stayed-n with no sound, I played with the setup and tried changing audio adjustment, input, dimension etc. and slowly I was able to get speakers up one after the other. It's working fine now.
However, I am little concerned that why such a high-class Onkyo system failed in less than two days, forcing me to troubleshoot. - Apurva
