Do you have a solution for disc recovery when I get this disk error - I can see the pictures on the camera, but I can not finalize the images on the cd to bring into my pc, or to print directly from the camera. Sony Mavica CD400 The error resulted from a FULL DISK, and low battery (i think)

Re: disk error c:13:00
substantial percentage of my Memorex 3.5" CDs won't finalize, and when
I susbsequently try to review the photos on the camera, it tells me
there are no files on it. Nothing will download to the computer via the
USB either. A substantial percentage of my Memorex 3.5 "CDs
won't finalize, and when I susbsequently try to review the photos on
the camera, it tells me there are no files on it. Nothing will download
to the computer via the USB either. There is a software program that always saves me when I get careless and fill the disk to full. It''s called CD Roller. It''s called CD Roller.

If you get into the practice of FORMATING the memory card IN THE CAMERA after transferring the images and videos to your computer, many file related errors will go away. Formatting provides a "fresh start" for the camera to work with the memory card. Some older Sony cameras worked with optical media (CD / DVD), if this is the case for you, you may just have a bad disk. Insert a high quality disc as recommended by the camera and you should be good again.
Each time you execute finalization, the disc remaining space will decrease by approximately 13 MB. If you don’t have enough room, it won’t allow you to finalize the disc.
To finalize this disc, you have to delete some pictures to make enough space. But don’t worry, before you delete those pictures, you can save them to your computer.
Find out the CDs came with your camera, refer your manual page 51 - 61 to install ‘PIXELA PTP Manager’ , connect your camera and computer with USB cable, and copy some pictures to your computer, then delete the pictures on camera side. If still not enough room, copy more and delete more. make it enough to do the finalization.
A few times over the last several years, having shot thousands of images with my CD-400, I discovered that VERY rarely a bump/jar, etc. can cause a bad write, or the same thing when finalizing. In the car with a friend one day, I was needing to finalize for him and got the message of death. That's the only thing I can offer; mine has worked like Sony intended.
the c:13:01 is the error code. I was researching this same thing on my camera. It 'magically' fixes itself after anywhere from 1 minute (turn off, count to 20 and turn back on)to 1 month later. This time, I lost photo-ops with my kids and their cousins. Apparently, this is a loose connector - see link- and you can fix it by 1) smacking your camera around a little (no joke, this knocks the connector back, for a little while or 2) sending it to Sony for repair (about $350) or 3) follow this guy's suggestions and fix yourself. I haven't lost any actual photos, except the first time when this happened. Since then, I've put the CD in the computer and I've been able to pull off the pics. Can't use the CD again though, even if it's not full. The camera must mark the CD somehow to avoid overlaying photos(?). Anyway, here's the link and good luck :) http://www.pechorin.com/m/2003/07/12/SONY_C1301_ERROR-202719-43.html
For this camera you can only use the 210 min 156mb disc, if you use some of the newer disc, the camera will act as if it is recording the picture, but when you go back it there will be no photos and you will get a disc error. jusy replace with correct disc
I had a similar problem, I was able to view the images on the camera but could not download them to my computer. I have an external cd drive, HP CD writer plus. This drive does not require me to finalize my CDs in order to download my pictures. With the damaged CD, I used a piece of software called BADCOPY to recovery the files(pictures) on the CD. I was able to recover all but one picture from the damaged CD. (I tried using the cd drive on my pc and the recovery software did not find anything, I had to use the external drive)
