Threading Singer 247 bobbin, no manual

I have a Singer 247 with no manual. I found a site that tells how to thread the bobbin, but the picture is very hard to see. It say to put thread through slot A, and pull to the left to feed into slot B. I can't see what is what! Help

Slot A looks like a groove in the front of the bobbin housing just pull the thread to the right and then to the left to get it into groove A, groove B is to the left of A when you pull it into A it will slip into B. You then just pull the thread forward and you are good to go. I hope this makes sense. I can try to take a picture of mine and see if I can get a clear picture if you still need help.

My singer model 1007 isn't threading.

Here is a manual for your machine (if you need one):

If by "threading," you mean the needle is not picking up the bobbin thread, the first thing to do is install a brand new needle. If the needle is damaged/bent, sometimes it will not connect properly with the bobbin thread.

If it is still not picking up the thread, then most likely there is a needle/hook timing issue when the needle arrives at the bobbin thread at the wrong time in order to make the connection. There are many web sites and videos on the internet that provide instructions on how to correct the timing. Otherwise, you could take it for service.

Try using a style 60 or 66 bobbin. I had the same problem at first, and someone on-line suggested the different bobbin. I use a style 66; instead of having a flat bottom and top (and all those holes), it's shaped something like a bagel. Now my machine works beautifully.

Bobbin thread does not loop up when threading machine. Then the needle thread get wraped around the inside the bobbin sewing the material to the machine

There are so many thing you need to re-check.

First clean out the bobbin area to be sure there aren't any thread tangles still there.

Open the manual and start from the beginning with threading the machine with the presser foot lever UP - always.

Read the instructions and do not rely solely on the pictures as we all sometimes rush to do (I am just as guilty as the next person to do this).

Make sure the bobbin thread is feeding from the bobbin case in the correct direction.

Hold onto the end of the top thread (after needle has been threaded) and lower then raise the needle to catch and bring up the bobbin thread.

Place the fabric under the presser foot and as you hold onto the ends of the top and bobbin thread, hand walk the first stitch, then use the power pedal.

If you need a manual, you can download (free) from Singer - http://www.singerco.com/accessories/manuals.html

I need to load the bobbin for my singer 247, I have no manual

I am a veteran seamstress and I may be able to help you. it sounds as though you just have the wrong needle in the machine or the needle is in backwards.. Machine needles are different lengths according to what machine it is. The needle could also be dull on the point. Try this and see if it helps. Also your local sew shop can help you no charge if you just go in and talk with them. The techs enjoy helping for the most part I have discovered.
