LoL!!! I don't know why but all RCA's have Flyback Transformer problems! I have one to here is the part number 259296 if you look around you can buy it for about 15.00 if you know how to solder you can do it your self and save big time! Hey I'm doing it! I don't see paying $500.00 to fix it you could buy a new one. And they are just ripping people off because the parts aren't really that high to fix the flashing light problem. And the part is never on back order so your getting screwed they are probably wanting you to finally say just throw it away. I have the same issue, we've had to change our bulb three times in less than two years. now we have 61" expensive paper weight. Our current bulb is less than 6 months old. The TV is only 2 years old and like i said this is our third bulb.
the blue light blinks 4 times. you get sound. then a few minutes the the picture returns... then it goes out, and the cycle goes on.
A solution to this would be greatly appreciated.

Is replacement lamp is original from RCA or an aftermarket low price bulb installed in old lamp casing?
It seems replacement lamp is not up to standard and causing problem. Rest is good.

Bad Caps on the AC IN board? I would visually inspect the caps on the AC IN board for any sign of swelling or doming on top. They should be perfectly flat.
