HP Photosmart C7200 Series - pop up window: Scanner Failure, Cycle power and try scanning again.
First of all whats cycle power?

- I cycled power, and even reset it. That didn't work; however, you may be right about the scanner lamp. What would I need to do to fix the lamp?Best Solution

Scanner failure means the scanner is not making enough light to see the home position. It happens when the scanner lamp ages or is covered with dust. Cycle power is just power off and on again, and see if it goes away.
